TVT Supercharged October 3, 2013 Share October 3, 2013 Two of my tire valves are missing this silver "protector" type ring shell which wrap around the valve, just below the cap. I believed the tire mech forgot to put them back after my last wheel rotation job a month ago... And I didn't realise it was missing till only recently.... Question is: is this "protector" thing important to have? If don't have any safety issues? The valve (with no "protector", fully expose the valve body) just below the cap: The valve (fully wrapped by the "protector" in silver colour) just below the cap: Thanks! ↡ Advertisement

Yeobh 4th Gear October 3, 2013 Share October 3, 2013 Not important, only for cosmetic purpose - to disguise as metal type tubless valve.

Without it yr valve cud spoil earlier. haha go any carpark and unscrew, Ya if I catch anyone stealing my valves, I wil just break their fingers.
