Darryn Turbocharged January 22, 2014 Share January 22, 2014 Round and round it goes, where it'll stop, nobody knows! What's your prediction for today? Up, down, sideways or inside out? I think we will see Cat B up a bit, Cat A down a bit and a further slide in Cat C. What say everyone else? ↡ Advertisement
Quantum 5th Gear January 22, 2014 Share January 22, 2014 Round and round it goes, where it'll stop, nobody knows! What's your prediction for today? Up, down, sideways or inside out? I think we will see Cat B up a bit, Cat A down a bit and a further slide in Cat C. What say everyone else? CAT B & A both down, but B down a bit, A down a lot Rich men already have bought whatever they diesired, no further buying momentum, and medium income people almost give up CAT B car switch CAT A after LTA new COE review scheme launched, but now it's not the best time to bet CAT A , it should start from next month re- category CAT A,

Darryn Turbocharged January 22, 2014 Author Share January 22, 2014 I don't think so, Unless the price comes down - for those that bought at anything less than $40k or so, a good number won't be able / willing to now pay $80k for a COE, and that's before you even consider moving from a 100% 10 year loan to a 50% 5 year loan. i think all will go up days of low COE are over... even in 2015/16....people who deregister their cars are likley to buy cars

Can take loan for this. But not for 10yr pqp. Or for those applicable, can also send home the household FT. That should free up another $700 to service instalment. Assuming those cheap purchases that were taken were with 400-500/ mth inst, that would mean they could now afford loans of 1100-1200 / mth.

Darryn Turbocharged January 22, 2014 Author Share January 22, 2014 Yep - and there is no doubting that some people will take those steps to continue driving. There is also no doubting that some people took those steps to get into one of the cheap COEs in the first place. Its not that ALL the cheap COE will stop driving, but you can be sure that at least a portion of them will drop out of the market - exactly how many is anybodies guess. can renew 5yrs pqp, hence can loan if insist on driving. OTOT 1st Gear January 22, 2014 Share January 22, 2014 How to expect COE to go down drastic! less ppl de-registered, lesser supply of COE. demand >> supply. Even COE were to drop will be marginal and not BIG drop, unless recession..
