Car Plate replacement

My car plate (front and back) is a bit old and cracks can be seem on the letters.

 

I am thinking of replacing both the front and back car plate.

 

Any shops to recommend?

 

Also any particular designs to recommend and how much will it cost approximately?

There is a shop at Ubi, cross juction at Traffic police HQ,1st shop, price is good. If it is not crowded, you can collect on the same day depend on the type of plate you do. If i remember correctly, those black base metal plate cost around $25ea.

The one in Sin Ming estate is quite good. Had one done for my bike rack and it only cost $8. It's the 2nd one in the block after the block with the big kopitiam (opp where Tuffkote used to be).

Can call and check out the price.

yes around 10-15min ready.

Can choose the frame/wording eg Borneo motors - similar to authorised distributor.

Surprised that they provide the screws too, and offer to install the new plate for me, told them no need.

 

Generally impressed.

 

Cons - have to look for parking.

 

Also saw the "paperlamp", lighted number plate - but was told not LTA approved.

yes around 10-15min ready.

Can choose the frame/wording eg Borneo motors - similar to authorised distributor.

Surprised that they provide the screws too, and offer to install the new plate for me, told them no need.

 

Generally impressed.

 

Cons - have to look for parking.

 

Also saw the "paperlamp", lighted number plate - but was told not LTA approved.

Yes, I bought 2 sets from him too. His price is reasonable. He will check the correct car number before working on the plates. I was making 1 for myself and my brother BMW. he gave me the wrong last character. Jeff called me to informed me that there is no such number and I contacted my bro and find out he remember wrongly. Nice guy and very please with his service.

Actually can just drive straight into their premises.

I called up and enquired. I was told $50 for plastic frame and $60 for metal frame. Also, have to come back after a few hours to have the plate installed. Not 15 minutes wait but few hours.

 

I wondered what is the difference between their $60 plates and the usual $20 plate?

From Jan till now, you still haven't replace yr plates?

 

Maybe you don't really need to....haha.

 

Anyway, they can get it done fast la. Just drive to their premises.
