Why not much help ???

Cause I intend to get them

Changes ----

As got good review on those k&n filter...

Actually K&N filter allows more oil and dirt engine than stock filter.. and turbo needs the air filtration to be good to keep it clean. Most turbo failures due to insufficient dirt filtration.

Advice to keep to stock and maybe consider changing to light weight rims, branded ones that weighs 6-7kg for 17", and 8-9kg for 18". It'll be more useful for pickup and FC.

how many of you guys drive without engine brake checked?

i've tried unchecked the engine brake and the car rollllllllll long time.. save petrol but if you do more corners then best to on it, and the braking distance have to recalculate.. will require more braking

Bro, eco mode once turned on, it controls throttle opening, flooring of accelerator will have limited fuel supply, thereby saving fuel.

There will be no more horses when this is on.

Don't expect to have power at this mode.

The numbers in the panel are very subjective.

Take it with a pinch of salt.

Tks bro...

Interesting, will try tomorrow to off it. Do you know how does the car assist function of the engine brake works? Is it the car will apply automatically the brakes to give the engine brake feel or the car will put at higher rpm for the engine rpm to drop?

its more like when you lift your foot off the gas pedal.. you won't feel the resistance aka engine brake.. try it at low speed first bro.. like i mentioned the braking distance will be different. . its somehow similar to manual gear car when you put it to neutral while cruising.

Ahhhh! So that's why my car drops so fast in speed the moment I take my feet off the accelerator. Cannot cruise at all.

I disabled it and am now happily cruising. Save petrol gao gao.

Thanks for the tip!

hi, my best fc based on trip is 14km/h, and that was when i was driving late night on CTE.

Average FC for all as shown in display is merely 9.2km/l.

Wow.. that's pretty way below spec. Guess a full tank would probably cover < 600km. It's really a choice between power and moon roof vs low road tax and FC ...

Thank you for the feedback !!

I am driving the 2.0 and my average for the past 2 weeks is 11.8 km/l , best is 17.6 km/l,so it is very much route driven (plus passengers in the car or otherwise and assuming the gauges are accurate) Edited by EricChan

What is the reason that one will choose the 2.0 qashqai over the Xtrail?

Quite a lot of views expressed on this in earlier parts of this forum.

Xtrail has plenty of good points, MIJ, all round view cameras, all electric seats, option for 7 seats, ventilation for back passengers etc etc.

for me the show stopper in xtrail was its sunroof-made dislikable because of its dividing bar. With QQ it's magnificent sky roof alone settled the choice in my case.

If u cruising at 1500rpm and let go ur foot, it will drop a gear and rpm moves slightly higher. If off engine brake maybe brake pads wear out faster? Gain some lose some in my opinion.

True on the dirt and oil using K&N filter.

My previous needs to clean the throttle body regularly due to "sticky" accelerator at cold start.

And every time when I clean the filter, car feels perky for a few trips due to higher airflow, after that the "smart alec" ecu will learn to control and restrict the airflow accordingly to its airflow/fuel ratio. However it still can revved to 5krpm more easily than original filter.

For those already on K&N, keep and use your original filter when cleaning the K&N as it needs to properly dried before re-oiling.

Those havent install can weight the pros & cons yourself buy I suggest change only after run-in period as the extra dirt won't do any good to the engine.
