Myap2328 1st Gear October 31, 2015 Share October 31, 2015 RX is much more luxury, the interior built should be better. Honestly NX I find some of the interior bits are inferior to even ES (I have NX and my sister ES), is really cut-corner to make RX superior. But exterior looks find the new RX really a bit weird with the sharp lines, NX looks much sharper and more cohesive. If you care about resell value, I think RX will still hold value better. I share the same thoughts about you but I kind of agree with my SE when he said the Rx and Nx both appeal to very different markets. And I think it is very simple, assume you have a sub-300k budget so u can only choose the Rx200T and Nx200T then it boils down to whether you value comfort and luxury (Rx) or performance (Nx). I say sub-300 because the Rx350 and Rx450h would cost beyond that. And yes the Rx interior quality is well above the Nx but the rather speedy 0-100 in 7 secs is too good to give up like i mentionrd ↡ Advertisement

I went yesterday but the SE does not seem familiar or maybe he thinks i am just seeing for fun. Prices he quoted me are all list price.
Kalmath 1st Gear December 6, 2015 Share December 6, 2015 Anyone has test drove both NX and Evoque? How does NX compared to Range Rover Evoque? The price of NX Luxury and Evoque Pure (entry level) should be quite close within 5k difference.
t0y0ta Supercharged December 6, 2015 Share December 6, 2015 Anyone has test drove both NX and Evoque? How does NX compared to Range Rover Evoque? The price of NX Luxury and Evoque Pure (entry level) should be quite close within 5k difference. I haven't driven Evoque, but it is a fairly old model. I am under impression that Wernes is mainly trying to push Discovery Sports, not Evoque, and that pricing is usually very attractive compared to other dealers. Beaver 2nd Gear September 26, 2016 Share September 26, 2016 Hi NX Owner, Any further review on this model ? And Anyone of you has the White Ocher seats ? Is it easy to clean ? I like the color but afraid it will get stain easily if I do not attend to it immediately. Aslo I am thinking of getting Sonic Titanium exterior and wonder if White Ocher interior will look nice with it or Saddle Tan will look better. Should I wait for 2017 model will there be any new features ? Thanks for advise.

Sotongcat 1st Gear February 24, 2017 Share February 24, 2017 Has been observing and reading reviews and comments on this model for a few weeks. Truly a nice car. ( Both interior & exterior ). Had never drives a SUV before. Seriously considering it. Hope is a good ride. It is indeed nice in the beginning. This car has some annoying NVH problem. The engine noise comes into the cabin, and so is tire roar plus wind noise - Very un-lexus. I hate this part the most. The next most annoying is the idling, where the car shakes/vibrate a little. Gotta put to neutral gear to minimize it. I know it is a 4 cylinder, and ppl will say it is "like that". Merc GLC250/E200/C200, Lexus IS200t/ES250 also 4cylinder, but does not have that annoying idle vibration. I asked the service consultant why like that... he said coz the car is "sporty". Sporty my foot. I almost feel like labeling it a fake lexus. As a SUV, do expect to hear rattling of things you put in the boot, as there is nothing to prevent the rattling noise from entering the cabin, unlike a saloon with a proper boot. If I know the engine/road noise is like this, I would have never bought this car. But too bad.... got suckered by the 7.1sec century, and the looks.

Vratenza Supersonic February 24, 2017 Share February 24, 2017 You should test drive it carefully. Best is back to back with it's competitors before signing. I almost got drawn in by the "huge discount" off the listed price. Makes me feel like I got a damn good deal...that almost made me overlook the various negatives I felt about the car. Unrefined engine, full time FWD part time 4WD, interior design fit and finish abit below what I am used to in my 2009 GS. Must admit that the standard equipment list especially the luxury version is class leading. But I hate that they force you to choose between the luxury vs F-sport. Why can't I have pano sun roof with F-sport grill and suspension plus rear electrical reclining seats? Thanks for the advise ... Wow... that makes me to gives a second thought of this car. Must really have the feel of test driving it .

SuPerBoRed Twincharged February 27, 2017 Share February 27, 2017 I did traded in my "noisy" old IS250 for this...... mistake..... quite a big one... to be fair.. i dont think i can find any car that provides the same sound insulation of is250/gs300 at similar price range.. juz got to live with it i suppose... lovers of lexus just got to know that the current edition of the same models do not provide the same sound insulation if thats your key concern... To be fair, the car is fine otherwise. Just that is a a bit un-Lexus in terms of NVH refinement. Infiniti Q50 has the SAME engine as E250/C250, but the engine sound louder in Q50. So I think in a same manner, car insulation and engine mount play important role in NVH. Nx200t need improvement in this area. You mean the new GS250/200t is less quiet than the old GS300? Earthboy 4th Gear February 27, 2017 Share February 27, 2017 (edited) I don't think Lexus started with producing a noisy car and stuff it with a lot of sound proof/deafening to begin with. If you go knock the door of the previous gen GS, it doesn't seems like they put in any extra sound proof there. The facelifts ES has added sound proof at the firewall from what I read of the marketing material. IIRC there was similar complain in the US around engine noise on the NX from some owner as well but cannot remember if they complain about wind noise also which is something I can't stand as well. For the GS they get Yamaha to tune the air intake sound. All air intake make noise, they just make the noise nicer imo which is fine to me. ;) Edited February 27, 2017 by Earthboy ↡ Advertisement
