gorilla_chow 2nd Gear June 15, 2016 Share June 15, 2016 Do we need to switch to My map manually when we cross over? Or it'll load automatically? Can the mat be folded when you want to use the 3rd row? It's good for keeping the interior clean & try but I figured it'll have to be folded otherwise how to store it when we want to use the 3rd row? Hi karu Apologize for late reply.. as i hardly deploy the 3rd row. Please find attach photo of the folded boot mat. ↡ Advertisement
Pocy Hypersonic June 15, 2016 Share June 15, 2016 A quick poll for Xtrail owners... What's the highest speed you guys went in S'pore or up North... So far on S'pore roads, went to 120 km/h & there seem to be some resistance by the engine. Will test out the car's potential when I go M'sia this weekend on a full load. How was your test? Karu 6th Gear June 20, 2016 Share June 20, 2016 How was your test? Just came back after driving 1700km from S'pore to Penang & back. Didn't hit 180km/h... Fastest I clocked was 170km/h. Averages around 140 - 150 km/h. Slowed down on the 'high risk' stretches. One thing I realized, the cruise control doesn't work after 144km/h. Dunno why? not sure if it's something wrong.

I hope you realize how incredibly dangerous driving at these speeds is on a public road. You may be experienced but all it takes is for a P-plate to accidentally switch lanes just before you passes him. Then 2 families would possibly lose their loved ones. And I can't imagine why you want to test the cc at this kind of speed too. Cc is not meant to relieve the driver at fast speeds due to safety. Each sec of late reaction at 144km/h means 40m travelled, and I promise you, that's more than enough to kill a few cars in an accident. Frame me if you want, but I nag because my family and I narrowly escaped death before because of a speeding Estima on the NSHW. That's my 10 and 6 year-old children who have yet to experience life, my wife whom so many people depend on in her line of work, and me, a nagger for safety. If you want to test the limit of your XTrail, go do it in a circuit. If you still insist speeding at 170 is safe, do us a favor and don't hero-fy your experience on public forums like this.
Chrispie 5th Gear June 20, 2016 Share June 20, 2016 (edited) Even at 80kph.A P plate suddenly switch Lane also can cause a bad accident. And perhaps he was pushing the car on a straight and empty stretch of road? Did you bother to ask? Fast doesn't necc means unsafe. There are many slow and dangerous drivers out there too. I understand your perspective on safety etc... I'm driving & testing out the car within the safety limits & taking necessary precautions in varying speeds as needed. Just going at speeds which you can never do in S'pore. I'm not boasting & 'hero-fying' just sharing my experience. Maybe I should add a disclaimer & make all sign an indemnity before reading my post. I can only say I get to experience the potential of the car & do something that I can't in S'pore. As you can see in some reaction , I cannot say I enjoyed my drive. Dun wanna glorify my deed Pickup for the car is still not ideal with my car loaded to the brim with all the shopping & kids stuff. Don't try this at home...
