Other strikers will have to step in when he is injured or given a rest. Compare Eto'o to Lambert, Borini and the other linked striker Bony, whose playing style is closest to Sturridge? Further, Eto'o being a free agent and on a one year deal, will cost Pool less than £5m whereas Bony at £19m and wage of £100kpw, would cost around £45m over 5 years. Clearly dun think ks the price issue. Earlier in the window we were a few £m off the price. Break through came when Aspas' loan deal was agreed. As mentioned before, no way Ayre will fly there to discuss a loan deal whereby our player went over on loan and with a guaranteed undisclosed buy clause and not agreeing on Moreno. Aspas is as good as a part exchange player in this deal imo. We offered Aspas to lower the price to £12m. Why they hold back on Moreno? This one can't confirm. Maybe to allow him to say proper goodbye to the fans during Super Cup? The announcement came hours before the kick off and he wasn't involved although he was with the team. For me, as long as he is not blocking the growth of the younger guns and just a one year deal, I am ok. Kelly won't do well as a RB under BR imo, offensively doesn't offer enough. However, I don't think they have any impact on us getting a marquee signing as they wages are low. We are not signing one probably none is available at the right price.
