Keane maybe look remorseful...

I don't believe this remorse shit. I only believe in strict refereeing.

Look at Rugby and see what power their refs have.

And these people are pulling, tugging, heads down.

If the ref catches any simple foul behaviour, it's down to the sin bin.

U talk back to the ref, u go to the sin bin.

Any high tackle it's penalty.

In football the action moves very fast. Sometimes not possible for human to catch the foul. If u ever refereed a sunday football game without the help of linesmen, u will know what i mean.

But retrospective action should be consistent.

i agree but the point of contention at that point was if keane's action was intentional... this truth was revealed only after he retired... i believe if he admitted during his playing days then he would have faced a lengthy suspension

So unless there is a blanket rule that the player that breaks another person leg, intentional or not... will be suspended for X period... if not, it will always be inconsistent...

Definitely it's difficult to ensure consistency of judgements.

I honestly don't understand why suarez always gets away with it in games, then kana a super long ban later on due to retrospective evidence.

It's as if they want to punish the individual more after the ref did not send him in the 1st place.

The ivanovic one was a one-off. The chellini one ref also didn't do anything.

no way we'll let anyone low ball us. So suarez stays for another season.

Lol if i'm liverpool's PR/communication person, i will really dislike suarez. always so many taichi.

Without the benefit of video replay... not easy to catch a bite lol

maybe time to intro video replay but then would a red card be sufficient? This i believe will have 2 camps

Actually suarez is giving the PR person a reason to ask for pay raise... lol

Ok lah, looks like we are all have divided opinions on LS :)

Good, just show that we all love Pool :)

Still waiting for some official LFC statement on this...

BR still haven't comment anything yet.

Well, maybe still in WC mood ba :D

Anyway, good that majority of our players are back, at least more time to rest and recuperate for the new season :)

Hopefully, we can hear some confirmation on our new signings this week :)

keane is out to hurt haaland, period. and 3 matches ban

cantona launched himself into spectator, that to me is inexcusable, taking the matters off the pitch for pple not related with the club except supporting them

Can we propose that the aggressor have to sit out the same number of matches as the one(s) they injure during games? So if breaks one guy's leg, the fella is out for 6 mth, the one who tackled him need to be suspended 6 mth too...

End a guy's career, you also can go pack bag and change job...

Some people are sick notes lah. Every few games get injured. Not fair also.

Best is to have video evidence. A council/panel consisting of ex-pros and refs to take punitive action. Maybe 5 pax.

To make it fair, maybe only if 4-1 or 5-0 agree, then can a strong post-action punitive ban be taken.

Not just elbows/headbutts/stamps/bites. But also high studs showing tackles.

If Suarez gets sold, i hope it will be $80mil plus Sanchez.

Anything less, don't bother. Sanchez can't certain ship as many goals.

I rather keep Suarez and he still ships another 20 plus goals.

yes I agree. retrospective punishment. Yes there is now, but far too few. One most detested action - feigning injury - I propose. Anyone too injured to fall to the ground and cannot stand up will be taken off-fiend and treated/rested for 5mins then allowed back. Too many of such disgusting acts

Can someone name me another sport that has such prevalent cheating allowed?

someone said its a requirement from Barca [sly]

He only apologise now, 6 days after the biting incident :(

LS made no apologies to Liverpool, who is his paymaster, and who will suffer when he is on ban till Nov.

He didn't even mention abt Pool when Pool stood by him on the past 2 incidents...

Maybe his heart not with Pool now.

Anyway, if Barca comes in, good :(

who??? [speechless]

Apparently, He issued the apology statement without prior knowledge of Liverpool and Uruguay FA.

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/worldcup/luis-suarez-apology-liverpool-had-no-prior-knowledge-of-statement-as-striker-seeks-to-clear-way-for-80m-barcelona-transfer-9574506.html

Before Suarez apologised, A spanish journalist has mentioned that Barca required Luis Suarez to apologise before starting the transfer process.

Personally, I would think that his heart not with Pool anymore, and of course, the english media played a big part in swaying this.

And his wife likes Barca, since she has stayed there since 2003.

Just mentally prepared that LS will leave this season.
