KIA K5 Good ?

K5 is a good car,but only suspension too soft,compare with Mazda,high speed handling cannot match,Mazda is far more stable at high speed & around corners...also the fit & finishing a tad no as good as Japanese car...

Keep one towel and bottled water in car. Drench towel with water and put on seat. Heat transferred to towel = hot towel for wiping your face, hands, etc...... Seat becomes cooler for your butt.

TS, if want get K5, get the 2.4L one. 2.0L will be a bit under power. Sun/Moon roof version is also only available for 2.4L, which is one of the reason make K5 satki. :P

 

If I have the money, I would change my car to K5 2.4L immediately.

The handling is ok lah, just that rebound damping abit soft.

 

But after 180-190 the tail gets light enough that'll you need to sit up and pay attention, I put this down to aero more than suspension.

 

Disclaimer: this is based on the "first generation" K5 from the 2011 batch of cars although I don't think there have been major revisions to aero or suspension that would negate the above.

Yes the 2.4 is a need not a want. The KW is 1.6T.

 

The cab is CRDI. Diesel engines typically last twice as long before rebuild is needed.

 

Cab unable to feel hump in part could be due to the oem 215/60-16 comfort size.

got to agree that this K5 looks good, be it interior or exterior.

i think the only downside is the branding, other than that damn good and bang for the buck!

 

like what some mcfers have mentioned, it will be better if they bring in 2.0T model else go for 2.4L.

If the K5 had a T badge on it, it will be selling like hot cake.

It competitor T badge model is so uncle .... even I am a uncle already, I also don't like it

Mazda 6 interior smaller actually. Boot smaller too. This compare k5. Teana. Sonata. Camry.

On a serious note, I have yet to see a 2014 K5 on the road myself. From reading the K5 threads, it seemed like only Teatreeoil and myself bought this model. Looking at it positively, you can say it is a rather "exclusive" model.

Went down to showroom today, K5 no stock and new stock only arrive in Sep14. C&C didn't bring many units since facelift. Wonder why??

 

Sonata new model coming in Q4.. seems spec and feature not bad :) Once again.. in dilemma :(

I kept seeing a brown one around, both in west and east area, not sure if they are the same. Maybe its one of you, if so, not sure if you notice the pre face lifted blue K5.

Hi, Im newbie here... may i know if you are talking abt 2014 K5 new FaceLift model? Do you have problem with the car or delay when getting the car? We supposedly to collect our new car last wk... the salesman told us they found snake in our car during prep to hand over to us. After some diggin from friend working in C&C did we know it was a lie... our friend told us it is ECU that is faulty & replacement has to be ordered from korea. COE registered on 11th June, we can get our car only next week... :( our happy mood has been tortured with numerous lies from C&C (Kia) ... now we really worried how they can 'snake' ard such thing and expect us to trust their future service. The sales personnel even told us thru his lies, if you really want the car.... we have to write them an indemnity letter saying if snake comes out while driving, any accidents happened KIA will not be liable!!! From happy & excited to fear & furious. It is a mental torture those few days until it becomes anger when we came abt to know the truth! What is there to hid about??? Damn suay!
