Acting direct buyer from dealer to manipulate used car price

I am fine for the sellers to ask any price they want for their cars.

But why bother posing as direct seller when they are dealers.

Two years ago, there was an ah beng dealer who tried to sell me a 2008 CarreraS.

Gave me all sorts of stories. I lloked at him and suan him and yet he continued to lie through the skin of his teeth.

 

Big cock and bull stories about how he graduated from melbourne, wife is some corporate person, father owns building company but the car was registered under a car dealer. But i applaud him for having super thick skin. He just wouldnt admit even after so much suaning . Not surprise if he is in here .

 

Dont understand it.

Dealer say dealer lah, why need to pose as private owner seller.

 

This 2014 post is still relevant. Dealer posed as owner to avoid tax and after sales responsibilities. LTA recently (in 2018, after 4 yrs) warned them, but still can see some in Sgcarmrt. Sgcarmrt not taking action against these fakes?
