Soya Supersonic February 13, 2016 Share February 13, 2016 Trust me, your car trade in value will not be any better at Nissan. Nissan SE told me.. Only way is Mercs "overtrade" to get "higher" perceived trade in valueIt all comes back to square 1 coz C&C lowball trade in price. So their "effective price" offer is nothing to shout about actualli. ↡ Advertisement
Rebels Neutral Newbie February 13, 2016 Share February 13, 2016 Today, I've taken the plunge and signed for the Sorento. Taking the ready stock. So I guess will be the FWD version. No mention about the HU as well. Didn't get any freebies other than solar films though. You sign the Diesel Sorento? Should ask for more freebies. Eviltrap 2nd Gear February 13, 2016 Share February 13, 2016 You sign the Diesel Sorento? Should ask for more freebies.I wanted to, but they gave me a MUCH higher trade in for my K5, so... Anyway, what freebies are available? Other than solar films which the agent said he will provide.

Vratenza Supersonic February 13, 2016 Share February 13, 2016 I got the SX diesel. What is your effective final price for the 2WD SX Diesel? Eg. The amt of over trade (since u mentioned that they gave u a higher trade in comparedvto other ADs, so that may be a component of over trade built in)
hondz Neutral Newbie February 13, 2016 Share February 13, 2016 I was considering Sorento diesel until i test drove it. Can't get used to the diesel clattering at the traffic lights.I tried the petrol version as well, was so much quieter.
Sabian Turbocharged February 13, 2016 Share February 13, 2016 (edited) How in the world does the X Trail even qualifies as a 7 seater is beyond me. Accompanied a friend for his 7 seater SUV shortlist. Space wise for 3 Rd row, only Sorrento looks comfortable. You need to break your ankles to be seated properly in Xtrail 3rd row. It shd be marketed as a 5+2 Lannister dwarves...with the 2nd row pushed all the way to the front to ensure maximum space for the 3rd results in 2 unusable rows. dsman 5th Gear February 13, 2016 Share February 13, 2016 Some interesting stuff i gather from the Straits Times today Kia sorento is listed as being cheaper than santa fe (according to the ads posted by kia and hyundai) sorento was featured prominently in the life section by christopher tan with two owners being interview and their car pictures taken (both are platinum graphite, one petrol one diesel). article is on the increasing popularity of 7-seater suvs. http://www.straitstimes.com/lifestyle/motoring/7-seat-suvs-a-hit-among-families as for freebies...just refer to accessories list at the back of the price list. usually can get free servicing, camera, gps, eurostyle entertainment system, tonneau boot cover

If looking at SUV 7 seater, go in with the idea of a 5+2 and you will have less angst. Really need a full time 7 seater? Look the other way in direction of the MPV gang. It is pure physics. To get a full 7 seater SUV, imagine a toyota alphard on stilts. Edited February 13, 2016 by Vratenza
Vratenza Supersonic February 14, 2016 Share February 14, 2016 Kia sorento is listed as being cheaper than santa fe (according to the ads posted by kia and hyundai) Do you have the pricing?
Vratenza Supersonic February 14, 2016 Share February 14, 2016 Do you have the pricing? Flipped through Saturday's ST epaper and found the answer Very deceptive: Santa Fe advert price $145,999 is for the 2.4GDi petrol AWD (the 2.2 Diesel AWD is 5K cheaper at $140,999). Only one trim/equipment level but equivalent to Kia's SX trim. Sorento advert price $135,999 is for the 2.4GDi petrol 2WD for the lower barebone trim/equipment. Kia's diesel is more expensive than petrol variant. So in terms of value for money, buyers leaning towards diesel should consider Santa Fe, thinking of petrol engine than Kia may be a better preposition but make sure you are comparing the correct trim/equipment versions. How often does one really need to fill up all 7 seats with full sized adults? 2-3 times a year and for that you spend 30k more?. For emergency cases and within singapore, x-trails last cramped row should suffice.

Other than solar films which the agent said he will provide. 3M mats if not included. Very basic would be a $500 cash discount from the SE's own pocket which might have been possible if you took the max 50% loan.
