FC:

it's about 13.0, can't go up to 13.1, nv reset. maybe due to added weight from speakers, amp etc.

could be due to type of fuel (95 v 98), and different brands. i use esso, and temp switch to shell to use the 'free' fuel from shell.

pls note that the escape card points valid only for 2yrs. use up the 500$ x 3pts = 15k pts. feel shell not as gd as esso.

HU:

old batches til about mar/apr probably got the panasonic HU.

may onwards got pioneer, or alpine.

personally feel the pioneer one is better. and hopefully their GPS maps also better. panasonic HU reverse cam don't show the lines. my replacement rev cam has the lines. but bad image resolution at low light situations.

Yes, my classic the sound effect real bad for certain channel like fm88.3 at MSCP.

Even normal open air sound effect no good, just average.

Did not highlight during 1k service cos hav many more prob to settle like air-con smell, steering wheel loose, side mirror mis-allignment, etc...

Next 5k service then try to settle the radio distortion.

So many prob that I bang table during 1k service.

Is there a noise made when steering the wheel? My friend encountered this and the toyota engineer told him it was normal when he mentioned it during his 1k servicing..

Yes, steering noise when turning.

The service ctr staff cannot make it.

Many things they can't solve, steering noise, aircon smell, side-mirror mis-allign.

I dont know what they are good at.

Now latest case the blackvue in-car cam that was installed at west coast delivery ctr during car collectn, not working due to card reader error.

Fortunately I didnt take the 5-yr free service pkg during Feb.

Technically incompetent.

I know an uncle, book at guarantee COE, who collected his altis elegance at end may but yet his HU is the old one. I suspect the elegance is the old stock that release to him because the buyer before him could have book the elegance during the CNY period but not manage to secure the COE.

Mine was released to other buyer in Apr.

So when I secured COE in late May, BM need to take from latest stock with new HU.

I suspect QC reject one.

Hi owak,

I just collected my altis elegance and it's the old Panasonic HU. Bought in Feb but COE top up late May and secured Jun.

May I check when did you top up your COE and when did you take delivery?

Thanks so much

Base from this thread it seems like built quality and reliability of Toyota from Thailand had gone down the drain....

Normal. But, if you can still hear when the car is moving, then better check.

my altis gives a creaking sound near the rear whenever i enter the car, is this indicative of a suspension problem?

i just check with my SE last Sunday.

Solar Film and HU is local fitted. So if you collect car and see old HU.

Bang table immediately. I already told my SE that my HU must be new.

Anyone got the picture of the new HU? I dun wan to get cheated.

installed iroad v7 myself, direct wire to fuse to keep it running thru nite.

if set 12.3V will only last half a day. set it to 12.0 probably can last a nite or two.

installation took about half hr for front and back. cost 330. read somewhere v9 is out in korea.

not sure if will void warranty.

330? u buy from authorized dealer?

I think i buy iroad v7 too....seem good.

No this isn't the lasts Hu. Wondering if I could change mine to the new one since its locally fitted.

Heard from my SE you can BUT it is not going to be cheap. Cost around 2K, with that amount you might as well go for a high end Pioneer set. I maybe wrong with the pricing, you may want to check with your SE for the actual cost or any discount if you trade in.

Got so good meh?

This 2K will eat into BM profit as it is not included as OMV

I highly doubt it will cost that much, not forgetting BM buy this in bulk, As usual AD always like to charge their accessories in premium prices.
