from my avatar, can see i park in MSCP.

 

any fellow drivers cold start and drive off, up and down ramp in MSCP, can hear a faint hum/groan in the steering? a lil louder than the tyre sound and engine noise.

 

seems to me is the steering box. SE say they use electric motor and no more hydraulic.

 

after use for an hr or two, or maybe due to environment noise, the sound went away.

 

any ideas?

 

anyway never encounter your said problems........but mine is open air carpark, so maybe not a like for like comparison

Yes bro, it is electric.

Sometimes when you make a full 360 deg turn, you can really hear the electic motor working.

Just like cranking a dynamo to power up a held held torch light.

Think G9 and Allion, use electric, so no need to top up fluid for power steering.

Not sure about G10.

 

There is also noticable noise for me.

When doing reversing into a parking lot, the engine sound a little more robust with a bit of vibration.

Not sure anyone have this experience

Any brothers here who drove the classic variant encounter any distortion on the HU when listen to radio channels when driving in HDB MSCP.

 

Probably the antenna not sensitive or good enough... or the tuner also. But getting reception issue in MSCP isn't entirely unusual.

 

 

 

Collected my car yesterday and found there is a paintwork defect in the boot panel . Do not know how to describe the defect here. Some sort of wrinkle lines or uneven paintwork. Might cause by the white protective plastic sheet application before shipping. Rush to ship out and insufficient drying time of the paint.

Log the issue and they will look at it during the 1st servicing. Must complaint until they resolve it for me. Sian already.

 

Better check your paintwork if you collected or going to collect your car. Log the issue if defect found.

I guess this is the problem when you want to buy a best-selling model which has all the works done locally...

Anyone have problem with the 3M solar film?

 

My top part of the solar film running just below the roof lining is not sticking to the rear windscreen. Will drop off any time, my SE arranged an appt next Monday to resolve it.

I also got bubble problem on my antiglare and rear windscreen. My left rear window has this 3M logo printed on the solar film, feel uneasy about it, will highlight too. I also resolving the solar film problem on monday together with the 1k servicing.

Info sharing on auto lock doors for Toyota cars.. I tried and it works ..

 

Step #1

 

Close all the doors.

Make sure your parking brake is on.

Don't do this on an incline especially if your choice requires the car to be shifted into Neutral.

This depends on your key type:

Normal key: Switch ignition to the ON position (2nd position).

Smart key: Turn ignition to the IGNITION ON mode (2nd press of the start button). Do not step on the brakes or your car will start!

REMINDER! Step #2 has to be done within 10 seconds of doing step #1!

 

Step #Option==============================Shift to=====Door lock switch to

1 Lock immediately when shifting out of Park=======P=============Lock======

2 Unlock immediately when shifting into Park=======P============Unlock=====

3 Lock when vehicle speed is about 20kpn=========N=============Lock=====

4 Unlock based on driver side door===============N============Unlock====

Shift the gear lever to either P or N.

If you're already in the correct shift option, you don't need to change it. So if it says above you need to shift to P, and you're already in P, leave it. Same for N. Of course, if you're in P and need to shift to N, do it (step on the brakes to shift!).

Press the driver side door lock switch to your choice for 5 seconds.

Release after 5 seconds.

If You're Successful

 

If you're successful, all doors will lock then unlock. This is the signal that the setting has been turned on OR off. Yes this is horrible. The only way to know if the setting is correctly set is to try it out. This is a problem for Option #3 as it means you have to actually drive.

The 3M logo print was removed by BM this morning. No need to replace the film.

Anyone of you guys find that the chrome area around the gear stick area is a bit annoying? Especially during morning or evening drive. The chrome part seems to reflect the sunlight straight to the passenger or driver eyes.
