@ER-3682 you are right. I didn't mean wider tyre. I only wanted a "taller" tyre with the same width as current.

@inlinesix yes.

the motivation of my question is that, I suffered several times wheel bearing damages due to hitting rocks / whatever things on the road. Also the car park turn at my place is tight and many times to avoid scratching the rims, I would have to reverse a bit half way going into the turn, to recover space from front left wheel from kerb.   Therefore I was thinking if a thicker sidewall can help in my case.

alternatively is to change to 16in rim which probably is more effective just pay a little bit more for the rims (maybe can go for used ones to save a bit). But then no one would pay for my scratched 17" so I create junk for myself.
