Hmmh ... seems many forester bros dekitted and a bit quiet here 🥲

Nevertheless, thought no more non performance mod for me and 3-4 yrs late but I am embarking on unfortunately previously not shared here mod on the adoption of 2017/2018+ wrx sti mfd to match my "sti forester" speedometer. 😃

Should you have any queries on this mod from existing 4.2" display to a 5.9" one that can also include a front camera, I will try to help answer them from my johnny-came-late research done 😊

Hope to share in a couple of weeks' time when parts being prepared are installed .. hopefully successfully. 🤞

Cheers.

@Fumio74 Hi, this is nice hiend feel .. soft closing and just checked with kaki who did his glb one at 850 (front or rear only) with Taiwan mfgr and this seems good price then.

I avoid this cos my doors are ICE bound and already with many complicated wiring from other mods e.g. bsm, auto fold mirror, self dimming side mirrors etc. and try not open them up 🥺

Cheers.

@Fumio74 Hi Fumio, Good to know you are enjoying them ! 🥳

Just in case you are still looking forward to edfc pro, I just ordered one set for my kaki for his e60's customised coilover from another Japan Yahoo! seller at even better price than I bought 2 yrs ago .. controller, motors and gps module <sgd800 including shipping and gst (you will need attachment and extender as well as accept motor noise when activated for our forester).

Active supension will be your end game then 😈

Cheers.

PS: May seek your advice on such nice long trip one day 🙏

Hi all, dropping in to say Hi.

Driving a 2018 SJ5. I was camping in this thread 4 years ago when I first got the car.

Is this still the most active forester thread in this forum?

Cheers

@richard_crl032 By the way I did a Phuket 28xxkm run with my Tein Enduraplus + swiftspring in June this year. Nothing but comfort and balance lol.😁

Where to get the swiftspring and how much?

Going to change out my coilover soon after making 60k+. Now started making noise.

This swift spring is meant for OEM/Aftermarket shocks/dampers not for Coilovers. Swift Sport Springs 14+ SUBARU FORESTER SJG 4F913

Anyway last i found on ebay, Not sure if Richard can advise where else to get. Btw, someone on SGSJ FB posted for dekit of Endurapro plus with edfc and swift spring.🙂

I am planning to change to Tein Endurapro plus shock

When is the dekit from SGSJ FB? I went in don't see it.

@Fumio74 Hi, cool find .. quite aggressive drop and you will surely need another 400-500 to change to rear adjustable camber arm the least .. I can only speculate that ride will be more harsh with 48-52mm.

Someone dekitting in fb is selling his swift springs with edfc pro active that you may wish to check out if still available.

Cheers.

PS: no fb account and unable to provide link or more info .. some kaki shared in our small signal group

@Fumio74 oops .. only can share RSR, pink and Swift springs since those are the ones I tried. Too many available spemring around and no longer keen to try more.

RSR is hard i.e. harsh, Pink is fine but jitters and I settled on Swift which does not jitters.

To spend another almost 1k with needed rear camber arm, I would push it a little more for even new edfc since you already hv brand new adjustable endura pro active dampers .. automatically and dynamically adjusting to softer for comfort at low speed when roads are more felt and harder at higher speed for improved handling and braking when roads are less felt which makes it still comfortable .. and no getting out of car to make manual adjustment under bonnet and rear boot.

Swift springs are low enuff for me and I prefers ride comfort together with handling then just looking lower.

Cheers.

anyone can advise how does wheel bearing failure sound/feel like?

my XV ride at ~90k now just about this week start to have a hissing/whistling sound at 40-80km/h range, whether on/off throttle or up/down slope / brake/no brake...

seems like from passenger side. but aircon also still ok after few days so not aircon leak.

definitely not tyres cos just change out to PS5 yesterday also but still hear it...

thanks in advance...

Its a pity bro! i just found out from Subaru Forester.org forum someone mentioned that Swift has discontinued this 4F913 spring. No wonder i could not find it in ebay anymore. Some website seems to still sell them though.

@Sarion Hi, Failed bearings will be wong wong sound and not hissing/whistling sound. Not sure if what new tyres you had changed but do check if rubbing if you up sized or it may simply be some stuck tape or tyres characteristics since this sound came only after you changed tyres ? Cheers.
