Pocus Turbocharged October 17, 2016 Share October 17, 2016 yeah my heart is with the FXT but my pockets only can down 30% instead of 40% lolIf the problem is always about the cost, I suggest to follow your head this time instead.. You still have to factor in the running costs, road tax, insurance, blah. The car is your slave not the other way round. Even if you don't get this FXT now there will be better cars out there in the future when you save up enough. Might be better going cheaper or preown to cushion the depreciation. Better still don't but car and save up more first.
kermitfm 4th Gear October 17, 2016 Share October 17, 2016 Bro really appreciate your good advise once again. In term of $$$$, more comfy for me to get the FNA if I decide on Forester. At most the stuff I will upgrade is the Sound system, if the stock one prove to be not so good as claim by some and maybe change to leather seat. Not too sure how much it will cost though. The only thing is..... there is a higher model there with better features.... so probably will be asking why didnt I get that instead feeling.... haaaa....... @Nlatio, good to see you are thinking logically. Best to form your own opinion based on your circumstance. There will always be something better than the one you have. FYI, I have no qualms about the sound system. It meet my needs and for me if I want to spend $$$ on sound system, it would be to improve my home set up. I listen only to the news and the some background music when driving. The sound can be improved by setting the equaliser to your preference. No the best hifi hu but I have certainly heard worst. Furthermore, I think upgrading the sound system is not a recommended option as it will probably void your warranty (or part of it). The car already comes with locally fitted leather seats. They are black and you can change the colour for a fee - I think it is about $500. If the sound system or any lack of features of the FNA is a deal breaker for you, then certainly, go for the FXT. It is a better car for sure but there is the additional cost. Whichever you choose, don't look back with regret. It is sad to drive a car and wishing that you could have chosen another. Like what England Dan and John F. Cooley sings ...."Its sad to belong to someone else when the right one comes along..."

It's more fc friendly and it's very spacious and practical too. Honda reliability should be good according to what most ppl say (but I disagree..) a 1.5T engine can still be tuned for better fc and performance ( looks like a lot of bros are doing it to their qq 1.2t) dunno that got such good deal. More power better fc and lower running cost due to lower road tax and petrol. 1.5 t road tax still cheaper than 2L fna and has a better wow factor. Family, relatives, friends and colleagues will give u the thumbs up for choosing a more reputable brand. Buy forester, ppl will give u a different look and say bad things... really kns one... that day my colleague bought a new wish from bm, everyone crowd around to ask questions. My fxt bought for 5 months plus only person realised it's my new car. When the rest knew about it, no one ask me things like how much, good or not, etc. Lol damn sad. They only opened their mouths when I took them for a ride during a dept lunch. Lol...

Wahtk 2nd Gear October 17, 2016 Share October 17, 2016 Anyone enhanced the trunk lighting? The stock one is quite dim though Yeah the stock lighting throughout the car quite dim; I changed all the bulbs to white LEDs (When you get older, white lights are better :)) As for the trunk, it is a T10 bulb, you can got to Qoo10 or ebay and buy a bright LED replacement for a few dollars. One thing to note if you are doing it yourself, I suggest that you get one of those trim removal tool kits (search on e-bay, cheaper - price ranges from $1 - $30+ for a set - buy the cheapest) this way you wont scratch or chip your light cover
Theoldjaffa Hypersonic October 17, 2016 Share October 17, 2016 Bro thought I should reply you in this thread instead of going OT at the other one: If you are aiming for the FNA, and instead to do this and that to your car, the net cost of the extras will be pretty close to simply buying the FXT. The FC isn't too different between the two, and you get quite a lot more. What you save by getting this over the BMW, and other marques, you can spend on the fuel. It's a hardy car, and very popular too. I think it's better to get the FXT than to regret by saving that bit for the FNA. Cheers I also think getting the FXT is better. Price difference is 13k. That's 1.3k per year over 10 years. And that's $3.56 per day difference. $3.56 per day for more power that can give you much more driving pleasure, get you out of difficult situations with more agility, better features etc. Not to mention that you should not get the niggling feeling of "should have gotten the XT" after some time. If one is not able to afford the XT now, why not save up for a while more and get the one that offers more value for money although it costs more in the beginning? Hi, did u get any extra freebies on top of the in-car-cam and solar film? Any recent forester buyers that have gotten more than the std freebies? MI SE seems quite reluctant in throwing in free stuffs? Edited October 17, 2016 by C90 ↡ Advertisement
