Neutral Newbie

anyone has problem with the sterling wheel? mine is not straight. if on the straight road, it will shift to left. need to keep wiggle the sterling wheel to keep it straight. will have to go down to the service centre for adjustment.

realised the arm rest at the door is too short for my arm to rest while driving. Very "suan"..hahaa my previous civic i can rest my arm whilst driving.. :(

I scared the item too big for shipment. Encounter before when purchased wallpaper previously and quoted me to top extra $600plus. Thus I requested refund and rejected the wallpaper.

Oh.. haha.. seems like the better choice is taobao..hahaa

Ended decided to get from taobao. Hopefully no problem from shipping. :D

Any Bro of FNA owner can advise me on this..

Just notice many time in the morning or after a long stoppage, when shifting the gear level from P down to R and N, there will be metal "click" sound appear from the gear box. Is it normal?

It can be hear clearly when shifting gear while the door is open and worst ever happened was loud enough to inside cabin when all doors and close.

I only noted this after my recent long round trip in MY / Genting in fully loaded condition.

I have this problem too when I got the car. I have to send in twice to correct the problem. MI Corrected the drift left on straight road but steering wheel not centred(1-2 deg tilt right) after wheel alignment. Did a lousy job on the 1st wheel alignment. Sent in second time to correct the not centred steering wheel.

Do check steering wheel is at centre after the wheel alignment otherwise drive back immediately and get them to redo again.

You should get a wheel alignment report.

Dam solid numbers, who says subaru is jiak you car.. lolz

I cant reach that number (max 10km/l on 75% highway) though which i suspect its also partly due to me using 5w40. Gg to ask them to use 5w30 on my xt as per manual on my next servicing.

Try to reach cruising speed fast and maintain it. Fc will be good. This car don't like start stop traffic. I got 500km per 50L before in stop start traffic. 5w30 may not necessary help in improving fc. Quality of engine oil is important as well. Shell helix makes the car feel sluggish... When price dropped to 112k for XT after rebates, there are those originally looking at XT went off to book a Harrier or Conti car. Some of my colleagues did that. suddenly other brands also become cheaper

Did something interesting today. Took a portable vacuum and fitted a attachment with soft brush and in open up my bonnet and start sucking in all the small leaves stuck in the intercooler. Saw a lot of small leaves stuck in between the fins of the intercooler so thought that I should do some maintenance on it. Haa.

How many of u actually do this??

I used to use a pair of tweezers to pull out small stones and other debris from the TMIC and also straighten any fins that got bent.

if FXT is 112K, people would also stretch their budget to 130 to 140k and look at alternatives like harrier, cx-5, Q5, etc...

Mentality would like slightly more for blah blah blah. Each to its own.

As long as pocket happy, face confirm happy.  [laugh]

All depends on what the driver want.

I originally planning on Harrier base on look, but after test driving the FXT, there is no return. I know performance is more important to me.

Q5 is a completely different class, the price us at least $100k more than FXT. I don't think those target thus car will even take a look at FXT. These group of people will look at X3, XC60, Range Rover etc..

Hope to smell such prices again soon.

Minus 2K model discount, 1K AIG, 1K in house loan, minus 2K 8 bids NG. Lowest was 108,800. I got this price agreed but didn't sign as I was not in Sg.

COE went up ended up signed at 110,300.

To help answer another qns... MI ended up bidding COE to 56K plus and got me a car even when on 8 bid NG... so credit to them they do deliver... maybe that is why now no more 8 bid NG...

Not six months yet... cannot sell mah...
