There will be a 2017 facelife for the Forester right, read from the internet that some country already start selling, e.g Taiwan and Europe, anyone know it coming to Singapore?

Our 2016 model, US call it 2017 model.

The GPS cost $1.5k.

I tot there is some issue (cannot detected position) with the inbuilt GPS as claimed by MI, which is why it drop the GPS option.

If the GPS option is available when u book then just take it.

I am not sure what are the experiences of those who have the GPS but as for me, I did not have any major issues with it. Performed nearly the same as my 3 year old stand alone Garmin (with some features missing like voice control and traffic information).  I had to calibrate the display as I could not touch to select the search function at the top of the screen. Works once the calibration is done.

 

Other than that I am ok with it. I like the digital speed display on the GPS and use that to set my cruise speed when on the highway.

The FXT i had booked does not come GPS.

Me to had a very old Garmin standalone GPS since i got my first car.

Been serving me very well and only complaint Inhad is that the touch screen is not sensitive.

MI really like playing with price alot.

 

Think currently got alot of stock.. so put high price ask pple f**k off first.. dont come in

Now Inbuilt GPS already outdated. Its apply carplay or android auto.

 

Actually we all know we seldom really use the inbuilt gps at all la haha

I have problems with the power window and one of the windows moulding when i did my collection. Check on that.

Maybe MI will update the map for u during servicing.

After the free servicing period a fee is required.

 

No problem for those standalone GPS where u can update yourself.

I doubt any updates will be free. Hoping there is some hack on the internet to see if can load malsingmaps data onto the device.

 

Anyway Garmin maps are not free unless the GPS is a life-time update model. Most users (incl me, for my standalone Garmin) download the free 3rd party maps.

Just to share as I did not know this previously. For DUO points there is a parts and accessories voucher that is not shown on the DUO website. Their website only shows the service voucher. You have to call DUO to redeem. They can on the spot inform the MI staff at the parts counter. I redeemed $200 voucher to buy the cargo tray. Did not want the trouble of getting from Taobao or online.

The service guy at toa payoh told me there are 3 free updates. Have to call and send in car again to tpy
