Patience Clutched January 6, 2017 Share January 6, 2017 Agree with you. Patience is the key as quoted by Patience. It could be a blessing since COE for Cat B is inching up bit by bit. There is a possibility that you will get a higher COE. For ppl who bought at 46k coe.... Any delay in getting the car will most likely be a blessing in disguise ba... Tohto Hypersonic January 6, 2017 Share January 6, 2017 Haha, no rush, my car till end of feb, going on holiday till 1st week of march, so 1st week of march is the best time to get my car, haha, if they successfully bid for me There will be a 2017 facelife for the Forester right, read from the internet that some country already start selling, e.g Taiwan and Europe, anyone know it coming to Singapore? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0zP9upquHI I think is the US model lah. Our 2016 model, US call it 2017 model. I don't see any different from the video. Other that those feature we have have here.
flikmy 2nd Gear January 6, 2017 Share January 6, 2017 The GPS cost $1.5k. I tot there is some issue (cannot detected position) with the inbuilt GPS as claimed by MI, which is why it drop the GPS option. Thanks forestor1973. Wonder whether it's worth it to have the GPS, especially since there were issues with it. Regarding facelifts, does Subaru bring in new facelifts yearly? Seems like there's a 2015 and 2016 version for the last 2 years.

kermitfm 4th Gear January 6, 2017 Share January 6, 2017 Thanks forestor1973. Wonder whether it's worth it to have the GPS, especially since there were issues with it. Regarding facelifts, does Subaru bring in new facelifts yearly? Seems like there's a 2015 and 2016 version for the last 2 years. I am not sure what are the experiences of those who have the GPS but as for me, I did not have any major issues with it. Performed nearly the same as my 3 year old stand alone Garmin (with some features missing like voice control and traffic information). I had to calibrate the display as I could not touch to select the search function at the top of the screen. Works once the calibration is done. Other than that I am ok with it. I like the digital speed display on the GPS and use that to set my cruise speed when on the highway.

Been serving me very well and only complaint Inhad is that the touch screen is not sensitive. Never used an in-built GPS before.
Dru Neutral Newbie January 6, 2017 Share January 6, 2017 I also got my COE confirmed this week. I had booked when COE was 46k.. went for guarantee package though. Just wondering anything I should look out for (like maybe faults or defects) when collecting the car? Expecting it before CNY 8)

Rayoflight 5th Gear January 6, 2017 Share January 6, 2017 (edited) MI really like playing with price alot. Think currently got alot of stock.. so put high price ask pple f**k off first.. dont come in When they need orders den suddenly price will come down The GPS cost $1.5k. I tot there is some issue (cannot detected position) with the inbuilt GPS as claimed by MI, which is why it drop the GPS option. Now Inbuilt GPS already outdated. Its apply carplay or android auto. Actually we all know we seldom really use the inbuilt gps at all la haha Edited January 6, 2017 by Rayoflight

forestor1973 2nd Gear January 7, 2017 Share January 7, 2017 Do you happen to know if we can update the map ourselves, since it is a Garmin?Maybe MI will update the map for u during servicing. After the free servicing period a fee is required. No problem for those standalone GPS where u can update yourself.
kermitfm 4th Gear January 7, 2017 Share January 7, 2017 Do you happen to know if we can update the map ourselves, since it is a Garmin? I doubt any updates will be free. Hoping there is some hack on the internet to see if can load malsingmaps data onto the device. Anyway Garmin maps are not free unless the GPS is a life-time update model. Most users (incl me, for my standalone Garmin) download the free 3rd party maps.

Rachdanom 2nd Gear January 7, 2017 Share January 7, 2017 Just to share as I did not know this previously. For DUO points there is a parts and accessories voucher that is not shown on the DUO website. Their website only shows the service voucher. You have to call DUO to redeem. They can on the spot inform the MI staff at the parts counter. I redeemed $200 voucher to buy the cargo tray. Did not want the trouble of getting from Taobao or online.
