For those whom have installed the auto speed lock, which requires to install the alarm system. Do you all have issues with alarm being triggered off too frequently? After reading through the user manual for the alarm system, it is indicated as "interior sensors" being activated.

Damn irritating to be awaken by car alarm. Tried googling around, but unable to find anything on this. Any advice please? Thanks.

Ups. Surely I am not the only one whom have installed auto lock and irritated by all too often false alarms?

That is why a couple of us who were waiting for BM harrier, decided to sign for a FXT instead.

I wonder will harrier turbo be affected as badly as FXT when VES scheme kicks in next year.

Ashley,

Harrier turbo not affected ..oreli euro 6 from design, new and VES ok.

Cheers.

Richard

I've handed over my fxt ytd morning and gotten my new touran. If anyone interested to get a 2nd hand fxt (red Colour), can look out for one with about 35k mileage, reg in May 2016, car plate starts with SLQxxxxx. I fed it with 98 petrol since day 1 and only motul engine oil since 10k.

No more speeding tickets and urge to drive fast for me :)

For those existing and new fxt owners, donenjoy your rides to the fullest ;)

Hi Chris,

How much did it cost you to change to steel braided brake hose? Any improvements?

$380. It certainly did. More pedal feel.

Haa... I know what u mean. After 35k km of ownership, the fxt is not perfect too. Similar to the various makes and models of Japanese cars I've owned in my past 10 years of driving, the fxt has its quirks too.

Anyway, I hope everyone is happy with their rides.

hi guys, I'm in the midst of booking the 1k servicing and i chanced upon this on the subaru booking website.

1rargw.png

it states the 1pm and 1:30pm are for the free 1k and 10k servicing only. does that mean i cannot book the other time slots for my free 1k servicing?

TIA

Think ah huat aquarium business for the FXT actually boomed becoz of the Harrier turbo. Wise buyers realised what a bargain the FXT was afterall.

I interpret this as you can book any slots. I am guessing that the workshop is very busy and they are trying to streamline the process. Might mean that they will attend to those vehicles (free servicing) in the afternoon and you may only get your car back in the late afternoon.

I concur!

If rely solely on $ to horsepower, FXT is a steal.

That depends bro

A few turbo engines will either remain in the same band or actually qualify for a higher rebate..

So I won't say all turbos are dirty, cheers

Can book in the morning. Else, you can call the number and check with the rep. I booked mine in the morning for 1k. Drive in around 930 and ready around 1230,

I agree with kermitfm, that's my interpretation as well.

Just checking with other owners that bought the fxt before they reduced the free servicing from 1, 5 & 10k to just 1 & 10k, do we still get our 5k free servicing now?

I booked my 5k next week. Will call them to confirm before going down. The last time i visit, the counter guy told me i'm still entitled for the 5k servicing. But they always prata every now and then so better to make a call before going down.

I was just comparing the paper specs for both the fxt and harrier turbo on SG Carmart and, IN MY HUMBLE OPINION, there are a few factors that , to me, give the Fxt an edge over the harrier.

1. Price difference of about 30k

2. All wheel drive on fxt vs front wheel drive on harrier

3. boxer engine

4. 10% more cargo space

5. Smaller turning radius

Just collected my FXT last saturday. Indeed the turning radius is as gd as my Vezel.

:-) It's one of those things that we sometimes tend to overlook when buying a car, but I find it very important.
