Front of civic just got reversed (dent + scratches) into by another car in car park, video couldn’t catch the culprit..

 

any one got experience how much this will cost to repair at KAH, car less than a year old still under warranty, don’t know should go back KAH or just go outside other workshop do..outside workshop definitely cheaper but don’t know if will void warranty

Is there any crack or just scratch? If just scratch is a pretty easy job, can do outside.

 

Can try continental klasse in kaki bukit. U can search for them in fb

Given that this car model is about 3 years old, you can try and get an old bumper or pay for a new one.

How much is cost of bumper of buy from KAH vs outside workshop?

Err... since I'm not an auto repair person, all I can say is that it's significantly more

You can check with Kah yourself or maybe someone has a catalogue of prices in their back pocket..

our bumper is plastic, not possible to do panel beating. if you go outside ws they will put putty/cement then respray that area and your car will look as good as new.

 

alternatively do check Thian Seng see how much does a new bumper cost. From Hondapartsnetwork it cost around USD200 before spray paint.

Mine also "buah" by a van, when it turn out from the parking lot too closely to mine. My car cam cannot capture the car plate no.

 

I just use touch up paint (From Kah) & polish that area. From 3 metre away not so obvious. Not worth to spray, sooner or later, another idiot will buah again. [bounce1]

 

For your case, can pop back the bumper? then use touch up paint & polish. That position is not so eye level, so you'll most likely forget about it, unlike keyed lines on driver's car door, every time open door will received a gentle reminder.  [laugh]

 

Another alternative is use vinyl sticker, can check with this 219 Motorshop, they very creative one. My previous car was keyed all around & left only 2 years, so use vinyl sticker to cover up, cheap & good.

Have u tried the hot water bumper trick?

 

I haven tried it personally but I hope this helps.
