Purplexus 2nd Gear August 2, 2017 Share August 2, 2017 http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.php?ID=668461&DL=2178 Another mgmt car. Wonder what is a fair price for it, hhm.A Anyways, the V90 T6 R-Design is in the showroom... 4WD, 6.1s and damn, it looks hot. They are asking 215K and may give 5 K discount at best to 210K New is 225K and after discounts with loan and some overtrade - probably can get about 213K I got mine at 213K brand new after the discounts ( and also being my 3rd V series car - 2 previous V70's ) with 5 + 5 year service and warranty. ↡ Advertisement

Oic, means it's not even a fair deal by any means, as posted in the ad then! Boo.
Kangz 3rd Gear August 2, 2017 Share August 2, 2017 Oic, means it's not even a fair deal by any means, as posted in the ad then! Boo. Do note the vehicle in the ad is a v90 cross country, not the v90. List price for that car is higher at 238k.

Lotr 6th Gear January 5, 2019 Share January 5, 2019 Made in China but same selling price? How does it work? Has Volvo obtain the same cult status as Apple iphone? Article says something like the value is the same. Means OMV the same? Hmmm...

DACH Supersonic January 5, 2019 Share January 5, 2019 Currency exchange rate is 1:5 for SGD to CNY. So Volvo cars here should sell 5 times cheaper?

mel1888 3rd Gear January 5, 2019 Share January 5, 2019 (edited) Volvo cars only good for 1 thing. Safety. Really cannot compare with other luxury brands. Interior quality is absolutely dismal compared to other makes, Audi Merc BM. It feels cheap & plasticky even in their flagship models. Steering is "loose" with no road feel. U dun feel its "special" when u sit in cockpit. Overall such a let down for a premium price. Edited January 5, 2019 by mel1888
Volvobrick Supersonic January 5, 2019 Share January 5, 2019 The seats may be pig skin leather given the hundreds of millions of pigs slaughtered each year there. Need to confirm. I known same cat (Audi) made in China the interior just feel different (lower quality).

The current gen iPad style cockpit interior is very nice. Ergonomics are good. Build quality is good. Only the super low OMV vs the high selling price makes me feel that I'm not getting my best bang for buck for the money paid. Instead, more profit to line Wearnes' pockets. Now with MIC models, I think the profit will be more. Wearnes need to recoup costs cos they just renovated their showroom and renewed their lease for a significant sum. As per an SE, "someone's got to pay for that" I guess that explains the high margin.
Wolfverine Twincharged January 5, 2019 Share January 5, 2019 Can't agree more. Used to drive the XC90T6 R-Design and I really like how the seat contour wraps around my body with the fine nappa . Their seat ergonomics and leather quality are one of the best in the market for vehicles of that price range. However, whilst the T6 engine is not too bad in terms of power, IMO this is one area where it looses out in terms of refinement compared to the German marques on a 4-pot engine.
