  2. Kia releases renderings of redesigned 2019 K900 flagship sedan before April reveal.http://www.nydailynews.com/autos/news/2019-kia-k900-redesign-renderings-photos-teaser-article-1.3862925 Galore of teaser photos and videos over the last two weeks gave us our first peeks at the redesigned 2019 Kia K900 luxo-barge. Now, the Korean automaker teases us once again with the first rendered sketches of what the revamped flagship will look like. A grand departure from the tiger nose grille currently found on the Optima, Forte and Stinger, the K900 takes on a design Kia says is based on a concept called, “Gravity of Prestige,” leading to a more restrained and tasteful interpretation of the more raucous design cues of the Stinger fastback. Kia also says the front grille’s “Quadric Pattern” features 176 “jewel-like” cells, creating an illusion of energy – whatever that means, similar to that of the spindle/Darth Vader-esque grille found on the Lexus LF-1 Limitless concept. The Duplex Comet headlights are allegedly inspired by “the trajectory of light,” according to Kia. Because the K900 is slated to go on sale in select markets in the latter half of the year, the idea of New York being the optimal place to lift the curtain – as it’s the last major auto show before the second quarter of 2018 – seemed to make perfect sense. Earlier this week however, the automaker squashed rumors of a New York Auto Show reveal after a teaser video was released cryptically mentioning an April 2018 release date. Since the sketches were released yesterday, Kia offers no more information related to engine specs, fuel economy or size of the flagship’s redesign. The leading theory at the moment is since the previous-gen K900 was based on the now-defunct Hyundai Equus, the new K900 will be based on the same platform as the Genesis G90. That means the K900 could potentially come with the same standard 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 and optional 5.0-liter V8 as the G90, while also potentially offering the same rear-wheel drive drivetrain with all-wheel drive as an option.
  3. My personal take is the Honda Legend.

  5. The Honda NSX is the only car from the Japanese firm that can be considered as a supercar. A lightweight all-aluminium body, rather healthy V6 engine and great looks that put some of its western rivals to shame. This model alone lasted for almost 15 years, although it received some minor changes along the way. Honda had to cease production of the car when the car could not pass stringent global emission regulations that were to take place in 2006. In 2008, Honda revived the idea of replacing the NSX with a new model which featured a V10 engine, but they had to scrap that idea soon after due to the global financial crisis. But it seems that Honda is keen on reviving the idea again as they have confirmed that a concept (known as the Super Sport) will be showcased at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2012. This time it will not use a V10 engine, instead it will feature a hybrid powertrain. One of the first clues to a NSX successor was spotted recently at a film shoot for the upcoming Avengers movie. Honda refused to comment about the car in the photo but many believe that this could be the car in question. Should this car go into production, then we might get to see it as early as late 2013. Honda recently showed a fleeting image of the model to journalists at their Motegi Twin Ring race track. According to Honda chief of research and design, the car will define the new image of Acura (Honda
  6. Here are some photos of the upcoming Lamborghini Murcielago replacement, once referred to as the Jota and possibly to be called the Aventador LP700-4, that were released by Lamborghini but have made the rounds on the Internet as spy photos. The Lambo here is still heavily undercover but the shape of the vehicle appears more discernible in these up-close shots. The Murcielago successor seems up to the task of carrying the Lambo mantle. Lamborghini is still being tight-lipped about certain details of the car, such as the name, even as it lets journalists test drive the vehicle and Lambo's boss has already started shopping the vehicle around to selected customers. The next flagship Lamborghini will come with a new 6.5 liter V12 producing 515 kW (700 PS / 690 bhp) and 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) of torque coupled to a 7-speed single clutch gearbox with independent shifting rods (ISR). It will be extremely lightweight and have a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of 2.9 seconds with a top speed of around 350 km/h (217 mph). Source: Lamborghini via Inside Line

  8. SEMA eNews, Vol. 11, No. 4 - Jan 24, 2008 SPY SHOTS: BMW FLAGSHIP GETS DE-BANGLED Sometime this year BMW is expected to release the 2009 7-Series, and it's likely to look like the illustrations provided here by spy photographer Brenda Priddy. Based off of various recent spy shots, Priddy's illustrator created what is likely the stately, aggressive new look for Munich's flagship sedan. "We're expecting the new 7 Series to have a completely new front end, with an even more elegant look than ever before," Priddy says. "We're anticipating a sleeker body and a much fresher overall appearance." Priddy adds that BMW will introduce a new version of iDrive, the multifunction system that controls navigation, climate control, etc. Rumors also abound of an eight-speed transmission. Additionally, BMW will likely include greater use of active safety features incorporating cameras and radar for accident avoidance, according to the writers at Inside Line. It's also not a stretch to consider a forthcoming gas-electric version of this 7 Series, given BMW's partnership with GM and former DaimlerChrysler engineers on development of a hybrid drive system, IL adds. "Forget the old Bangle Butt, as it was so callously called," writes Inside Line's Phil Lienert, about the controversial rear-end styling of recent 7 Series. "This 7's tail section will have a much smoother design that better integrates into the car's overall lines."
