1 can enough to fix 1 tyre?

the canister pressure is enough to pump up the flat tyre? or at least pump up abit and reach the nearest station to pump air

Used something different. same concept, using liquid sealant but only pump in after tyre punched, but far cheaper, its called "fix a flat". If tyre got punched, just pump the sealant into the tyre thru the valve. Since its pressurised canned sealant, it will help to inflate the tyre while seal the punched. used 4 can so far, very good. A must especially if you travel to Malaysia often.

Yes, 1 can is enough to fix 1 tyre. The trick is, dont pull the nail/ screw out. If the tyre is 100% flat, 1 can is only sufficient to inflate it by a bit and sufficient to protect the tyre and rims from damaged by running totally flat. If you have pump in your car,  it would be better to further pump the tyre but I do not have it.

It seems like there is 2 way of using puncture proof sealant....

1) pre- puncture

2) post- puncture.

Can those bro that has used the puncture proof sealant give some comments on it....

Any cons in doing pre- puncture method .... Tyre wobbling? .... Cannot travel at high speed, cannot pump too high tyre pressure?

Thanks.

for me I prefer Post-puncture

Y ?

only need to carry 1-2 can ( not all 4 tires)

100% no side effect (unlike pre has to apply inside the tire which may have something affect the tire)

Saw this post sealant at Tan Chong today. $29.

The advantage of post sealant is that, if there is no puncture, the sealant can be brought to the next car. However, if there is an encounter, there will be anxiety and cursing, especially if one is in a hurry to pick up kids or meeting. My wife will cry and curse me. Also, at ulu ulu places in Malaysia, getting off the car to fix the flat can fall victim to robbery. Also, if all four tires got nails, die.

The advantage of pre-sealant is that, if there are multiple nail encounters on all four wheels, continue to drive on. Disadvantage is $140 for nothing if there are no encounter.  This is like insurance.

Hence,

If you only drive in Singapore, and you are prepared to fix-a-flat, use post-fix.

If you drive to Malaysia, and very often, wife drives to fetch kids, better use pre-fix.

the only cons is like what the previous forumer have said "it is just akin to buying insurance" and that it is not cheap.

a tire worm kit will only cost you $10?

a bottle of fix-a-flat cost you $12?

however if you travel to malaysia so ever often or go to construction sites daily, you will be thankful that you have it on.

Get those sealant that will auto balance, in fact , you don't need those sticker weights on your rims anymore.

no worries at high speed, in fact you will feel your car is actually more stable at high speed due to the auto-balancing.

you will realize your tyre pressue can now easily last 1.5-2 months without losing much pressure. :)

Thanks those bros for the informations :)

Sorry , am new to such sealant so i have another questions.

From the webby, it did mention that such sealant will not cause damage to the rims.

In reality, those that have change tyre, have you seen the rims condition? ( old tyres are coated with sealant)

Will the sealant also coated a layer on the rims itself?

Thanks in advance and Happy New Year to All !
