Anyone brought the Impreza during the motor show ? Care to share your thoughts and experience

I have been waiting for the Legacy actually and it has been a huge disappointment. But am so thankful Impreza has spec-ed up to 2L and also include eyesight. Test drove both 1.6 and this 2.0 they are a world apart. The drive is quiet and composed, without looking at the badge and finishes, I dare say contestable with likes of base Mz6 2.5, S60 1.6T, C180 1.4T and Q5/A4 1.4T (here must IMVHO or lim-peh backside say one). I was drooling for the 2.0T A4, for that raw power @$160k, but this made more financial sense. The only chink in the armour is the CVT which is one of the best in the market but was still hoping it would deliver more...

btw the headunit has changed. also comes with full on-board navigation. They say the speakers has been upgraded to better ones; but still crappy [laugh]

Yes, keen to know more too on the experience and thoughts on the purchase. Anyone bite the deal at $99800 at last Motorshow?

What less than $100k for a 2l jap car??

Even at 104k I already think is a steal in sg.

The interior/exterior design, space and features n specs r pretty good. Mtl

Thanks for the update. So the final price for your buy is at $98,800?

How is the trade-in price offered by MI in general? As usually low as observed by many other ADs out there?

My car has only one year left, so they offered only paper which is pretty standard to my best knowledge but this is like a tic for tac, as the trade in discount must be taken into consideration, else I think you try to negotiate with the SEmand see if they can sweeten your deal.

My price was at 99800 rather, congrats and pat on your back if you managed to get 98800

Depending on your old car, you forgo at least 7-8k worth of old car value excluding 2k trade in and scrap cost which you can fetch.

Thanks for your insight, so did you go with your heart or head, for I was also looking at the A4 but wanted to spend money to earn more money ^…^

Beside, I agreed that it is the best deal for the buck, nevertheless hope I will be satisfied with getting from point to point minus the speed as the 2.0 does feel a little slow in my humble view.

Good on you, my is a small hatch and doubt I will ever get 7-8K... maybe in IDR currency. Just saying...

more head I guess, the A4 2.0T, is very tempting.

took a while, but decided against it finally.. that's just me.

yes, its not very fast, 0-100km/h within 10sec. similar to what my current, so not too much diff. just need to getting used to the CVT. More importantly, nothing comes close at this range...

I bought in March, 1.6L, price not too much diff from the current 2L, already feel like crying. 2.0L faster, has EyeSight.
