any idea if the precrash will be effective at certain speed only or for any/all speed? Also I notice there is PCS & ICS setting, i guess both set to "ON" should be correct hor?

For low speed, the car will brake itself

tested my Alphard using pylon - both forward and also reverse

wonderful!

 

For higher speed, it will not brake automatically (suspect safety feature - to avoid chain collision for false detection) but i think the seat belt will be pulled tighter and the brake assist will come to play.

 

Can someone show me the location of the 3 front sensors for this pre crash and radar cruise control on the new harrier? Just curious, so that everyone can identify which harrier is equipped with it. Also does it come with extra steering wheel button - to adjust the distance of the cruising mode from the car in front?

Hi, I am expecting to receive my Harrier Elegance this month and would like to ask a few questions. Likely these Qs has been asked before and buried somewhere deep inside the 160 plus pages. Please bear with me.

 

1. where would be a good place to trade in the stock 17" tyre/rim for the 18". Intend to get the Continental tyres 235/55/R18 and rims. Any bros/sis can share the top-up $ you paid? if not convenient to reveal here, pls send me a PM.

 

2. PI is giving Pioneer 2750. Is it good enough to produce quality sound by just upgrading the stock speakers and add  an amp + sub + cables?  What brand to recommend. Budget around $2K.

 

3. Any place to replace just the front grille (the modellista ver 2 type). Price?

 

That's all for the moment. I am sure there will more "poison" down the road

SG Vehicles is good if you want a cheap price and basic equipped model of whatever you're going for...

But then you must really be super lucky and hope the car they get for you is problem free, because from the many anecdotes, SG Vehicles has horrible service.

The GS is the "sport" model..... comes with bodykits, bigger sports rims.....seats..... brakes.....etc....

 

Basic Elegance with the full works......

Thanks! All the different specs are ready quite confusing. Plus the price difference and terms that dealers are giving. And the impression that buying from PI is risky business is making me very apprehensive.

Ya  lots of options and selling off as different models.

 

Actually depending on which Pi you buy from . Unless that so called PI is fly by nite and out to collect as much deposits and then run off with the money....

 

So far i intro quite a handful of them from Harrier to Vezel to Alphard.... and all got their rides ....

 

Do your "homework" if you wanna get a Harrier.... as only the PI imports them....

Depends on your needs.... 

If you wan all the other features like auto rain sensor, Lane departure , Auto tailgate, etc....

Usually 10 k more.....lol

There is not much different between Elegance and Premium , except i think need to pay at least about 10k for it . If you can afford . Its good to go for Premium for some of the extra internal feature and different rim . In our harrier group , most of them would change rim , add cruise control , upgrade this and that anyway . Its depends. 

 

From what i know . Most of them bought from Well Known LECO , Hup Leong and VINCAR . At the end of the day , its comes to price , luck  and most important can deliver car .
