Wah, took me a long time to read through half of this thread. I kind of made up my mind to get a Harrier but this is the first time I'm dealing with PI and seems like there's a lot of horror stories. I went to Vincar recently and was quoted:

1. Harrier Premium - $140,988

- 4 bids guaranteed COE at rebate level $37k with no top up needed

- OEM DVD player

- GPS

- Reverse Camera

- Reverse Sensor

- OMV around $30k

- Ready stock with chasis number and engine number, can get at end of April

- Warranty 5 years or 100k km

- Free labour for servicing for first 3 servicing (I forgot is first 3 servicing or first 3 years servicing)

- No spare tyre but got tyre repair kit

2. Harrier Premium Leather - $146,988

- 4 bids guaranteed COE at rebate level $37k with no top up needed

- OEM DVD Player

- Pre-crash System

- Intelligent Clearance Sonar

- Radar Cruise Control

- Full leather seats

- Driver and Passenger electric seats

- Memory seat for Driver

- Front and Rear Sensors

- OMV around $31k

- No moon-roof

- Ready stock with chasis number and engine number, can get at end of April

- Warranty 5 years or 100k km

- Free labour for servicing for first 3 servicing (I forgot is first 3 servicing or first 3 years servicing)

- No spare tyre but got tyre repair kit

Need some advice:

1. Who are the reliable PIs?

2. Are the above deals good?

3. Are there lots of problems with the moon-roof?

4. Will the facelift for Harrier come soon?

5. Will pearl white become yellowish after a few years?

Thanks in advance!

Vincar is one of the bigger players, more trustworthy. Also they use MBM as their workshop which has generally good reputation.

I would go for option 2 which has pre-crash (enhanced safety and also original factory reverse sensors) and leather package (must confirm is factory leather which will come with memory seats function).

What is MBM?

The only downside for option 2 is that it is silver colour and doesn't have moon-roof. I'm thinking to get a pearl white Harrier. Vincar SE has been honest to tell me if they indent for me, it will take 5-6 months till I collect the car.

MBM is a workshop in Sin Ming.

First, you gotta be clear about the different variants of the harrier and what are your needs. For the premium leather package, by right omv should be slightly higher maybe 32-34k. Full leather seats direct from japan with two front electric seats and memory as well.

Its true that indent will take around 5-6 months or even more but if you are getting a new car, choose your desired color if not will regret. There are many other PIs around which are big or trustworthy.. you will also be surprised that some of those not so established PI have good deals too.

I suggest those who are keen to get harriers to join the Facebook group Singapore Harriers club where there is a wealth of information on which trustworthy PIs to go to.. Can also join facebook vezel club whereby PIs are often being discussed as well so you know which shop to avoid.

For me, the basic things i need are auto tailgate and two front electric seats. This leaves me with only 2 options. style mauve and premium full leather package.

I do not need stuff like PCS or ICS as i personally feel tat they are troublesome having experienced that before in other makes although it saved me from knocking into the rear of a vehicle when the vehicle in front of me suddenly jam brake. Do note that if you intend to change the grille of your harrier in future, PCS models cannot change grilles.

Also, they say ready stock and can end of april but that contradicts with the 4 bid bidding as it gives them effectively til June to deliver the car to you if they wanna maximise the 4 bid. Unless you change that to one bid because in April still left one more bid, then you can get your car to be delivered by April.. Having said that, they can also deliver for you by April if they wish to but i doubt it.

Just received my eagle last week.

You may want to ask yourself if you need the premium leather option as the leather will eventually wear out over a couple of years in our weather and we can change it aftermarket. And also if the memory seats and passenger electric seats are really necessary for you. To me, a premium of $6000 for these items are too much. Unless you are really into the PCS and ICS and LDA.

These add ons are nice but they do not alter the performance of the car.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I think I would want these options:

- Big player screen that is integrated with car. Maybe original HU? But seems like there's some issues with using original HU in SG?
- GPS
- Reverse Camera
- Front and Reverse Sensor
- Full leather seats
- Pre-crash System
- Intelligent Clearance Sonar
- Radar Cruise Control
- Driver and Passenger electric seats
- Memory seat for Driver
- Moon-roof

With the above said, is the Premium Leather variant the one closest to what I want?

Need some advice:
1. Who are the reliable PIs?
2. Are there lots of problems with the moon-roof?
3. Will the facelift for Harrier come soon?
4. Will pearl white become yellowish after a few years?

I am considering this new model harrier too, thx for the head-up.

personally, i think pearl white will have a double-edge shine, from a different angle perspective. If one order pearl white , need constant polishing and waxing to maintain the shine, including bird poo. [lipsrsealed]

Used to drive L with crystal pearl bluish shine, same effect.

What you need would be the premium full leather package with panoramic roof with PCS. Some PIs may call this the Premium advance package.

To tell whether a harrier have PCS or not. Look at the grille. Harriers with PCS have 3 pcs of clear plastic. Normal harriers is just one piece.

HU usually ppl change themselves or use the one that PI offer. Alpine X009e is the biggest at the moment at 9 inch but most expensive too at 3k plus.

Reliable PIs may also cock up at times so if possible, better get ready stock rather than indent. I dont think the facelift for harrier will come so soon. Read that moon roof may have sound problems but can be rectified by taking out all screws and tighten them. If pearl white turn yellowish then just do a repaint lo.

Hi bro,

You can try this website, www.CarsomeSG.com, heard that they work with reputable PI only and they will provide you up to 5 competitive quotes for your consideration. It might help you...

Hi. I went to Abwin today and was quoted the same price, $124,800 for the panaromic elegance in 6 bids guaranteed COE capped at $50k.

Is this a good price and was told I can expect the car in June if I take the ex stocks colours.

Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks.

Hello,

Does anyone knows how to remove the cup holder tray for '07 Toyota Harrier?

I have something slip into the small hole and need to retrieve it.

Is it even possible?

Can help me out on this confusion. Been to two dealers and one of the dealer has its premium with two electric seats and the other only driver side. Am I missing anything?

No.. different PI have different spec as premium.

h

But I always thought the no. Of electric seats are the same for all premium and premium advance or leather package will have. 2 seats electric seats. . Thanks and will look around more than.

True, i thought so too.

However, having experienced the function of PCS in my alphard, in my opinion its good to have.

- radar detect slow or stationary car ahead faster than me (my sight), hence able to warn me split seconds earlier

- for slow speed, it will autostop, will not hit front or back!

- PCS can be manually off (just press the button)

- but yes you r right, the 2-3 front sensors need to be intact, hence advisable not to change/upgrade grille/front emblem

If premium full leather package means two front electric seats or it could be premium style mauve whereby seats are half leather and half alcantara.

Normal premium only driver side electric.

What I dun like about this feature is if drive too close or abruptly towards gantry, car will auto brake suddenly. Quite shocking feel. Not sure if it works the same for Toyota PCS

Hi all

After comparing forester , outback and harrier , my CO relented and will consider purchasing from PI , though she do want to check out The new RAV 4 , which I think harrier will win overall - fingers crossed

I have went to a PI and looked at the premium version , quite ok with the quote but wanting to make sure I have made the right decision

The CO wants pearl white , and I like the wine red interior . Don't want alcantara , don't want suede and does it have non black leather seats ?

Anyway

I do wish to get the HARRIER with full specs and include

Panoramic roof,

Memory seats, ( driver only ok with me)

Pre collision System

Intelligent clearance sonar

Lane Departure Alert

Auto Tailgate

Full 360 View( this one must top up ah ?

Front and Rear Camera

Radar Cruise Control

18 " wheels

Also HU if can get alpine will be great but pioneer I think is fine

Which package would this be ? And anyone can recommend /PM me reliable PIs?

Cheers
