Its poor in night visibility. I would suggest not installing it and getting back some additional cash discounts or exchange it for some other accessory. use the cash discounts to buy a better cam. =)

Several bros here and whatsapp bros having it but I only know of pre FL ones and not sure if yours is which .... obd works differently for preFL and FL qashqai that obd autolock working on pre FL din work on FL ones.

 

Hope FL bro tried ok can advise else guinea pig time ..

Never heard of Papago before.

Is it true that we can’t turn on 24hr monitoring for our dashcam for Qashqai? I have spoken to a couple of installers and they mentioned It is rather difficult to fix the 24hr fuse cable in Qashqai as it complicated and there is a high chance of fire..

it is highly advisable to use an external battery for the dashcam. but when you do that, it might also be an oportunity to change the camera to a better one. using the car battery directly may also shorten the life of the battery or cause engine start issues.

 

my installer previously directly fused the dashcam (another brand) for 24/7 monitoring. no issues

Hi Fampngem,

 

I agree with bro babyjio on getting extra dvr battery ... use the right tool for the right job and not penny wise and pound foolish.

 

Car battery is not made for 24/7 recording but to start your engine and it will not know if your car is leaking current or powering up your DVR.

 

If you want 24/7 recording, no point saving on cost for this dvr battery else when you need it, it will be not nice to find out that recording is missing cos recording stopped after it reach whatever min voltage you have in the setting unless  you drive long distance to have the car battery charged up adequately but even so you may end up with premature battery failure and having to tow on a nice busy Monday morning on the way to work especially qashqai charging is already known to be lacking and hence all the early battery failure .... else just dun have 24/7 recording.
