Nzy Twincharged June 12, 2016 Share June 12, 2016 Our cars only can last 10 years before having to renew COE. Not economical to do that la. Just change to a new car if you want more power or better efficiency. We are not like other countries where they can keep the car for as long as possible thus making some mods worthwhile to do. ↡ Advertisement
Audi2016 5th Gear June 12, 2016 Share June 12, 2016 Altis is high performance car? LOL. If it fall apart, means ws cmi. With LTA restriction, we have lost ppl who are good in these handiwork. This is the hardcore mod NOT for mere mortal. If you read again, I mentioned the car, whatever model it is, if modded for higher performance, may not stand up to it since originally, it wasn't meant to be such in the first place. zackie51 1st Gear June 12, 2016 Share June 12, 2016 As more and more people keep old cars and with the era of games such as need for speed. Do people upgrade car engines and transmission? E.g. A 2002 Toyota Altis engine vs 2016 Toyota Altis engine The latter will be more efficient Old Altis engine swap to a new Altis has gotta be the worst analogy to use. It's like a sick man doing a heart transplant with a younger man with the same disease.

Lol maybe you got comprehension problem dude. I didn't say Altis was high performance at all in any way and TS only making an example / analogy. I was typing in general sense when it comes to modding engine internals, if it wasn't obvious to ya
Battledome64 3rd Gear June 12, 2016 Author Share June 12, 2016 Thanks for the input and suggestions guys Your right that I'll probably be better off getting a new car rather than "upgrade an engine" Played too many car games where there are different engine models to upgrade it costs like $3000-$5000 each. And this does not apply to real world at all

Ok lah my bad for not being specific. I am referring to engine and transmission too. Anything else usually quite small job lah no issues with LTA one.
