Found this budget comparison document - Interesting that our Vehicle Quota Premium revenue is projected as $5.65B and with roughly 100,000 COEs this year, the price of our current COE is at $50-60K. The person who did the maths is a fortune teller...

Agreed, almost like all the brand new cars on the road now is LCR cars! Even now you bought a new car yourself for private use also people suspect your car is from LCR. Lol.

 

Uber should have demand since the retrenchment rate might go up. Last time during recession, many people also become taxi driver.

 

I do hear from my friend that his uncle's new attrage was often mistaken as Grab or Uber car that some customers blindly open his car door as he was waiting for his wife at some carpark. His uncle gets very TL every day and started to regret his purchase.... wakakaka....

WA lah ah ! Really flooded with these Ubor everywhere .... These Drivers just simpily stop by the road side and wait for call ! I think LDA should enforce some rule like only can wait in the carpark ! Just today I saw 3 such Pirate hire Drivers stop by the roadside and causing inconvenient to others motorists !

Elantra sells at 86K? No wonder strong bookings at showroom. But people booked car now also doesnt mean they will successful in next bid whether coe is up or down. Think coe might up and down between 50-60k range now?!

Let's hope it isn't one of those schemes where the price is low, but the odds of scoring a COE are low and the buyer ends up topping up..

 

With these 'bargains' from various companies, it's hard to see how long the COE can go, and again, there will be a backlog of PI COE bids, plus these offers from the various ADs to entice buyers to change their cars.

With 2,000 cat A coe avail for bidding, "strong booking" may mean nothing if PH dont come in to compete.

 

By the way are Attrage drivers the only group who face uber passengers problem ? How about Vezel , Altis or QQ? No passengers mistaken their cars wrongly ?

Yes... just try not to get a white attrage. Its almost confirmed to be a LCR car. haha...

The other makes like Vezel & Altis has a much bigger private owners size and it comes with a variety of colors. But the attrage from LCR is predominately WHITE.

Even though one may book the car at lower price, the buyer may end up topping up if coe goes north. Sometimes a bit gimmick when dealer offer low pricing but bid coe low and end up top up required. Lock down technique by dealer.

Not every AD does the COE baiting game. Kah usually gets the COE. Mercs, BMW too.
