Hi Lazer,

I am sure your SE can make a special arrangement to close the deal.

Cheers!

This will be the ideal scenario. However it is very unlikely that C&C will be willing to "hold" your vehicle to your preferred week. U can check ur expected collection date and then backtrack from there though. In your case, ur timing is quite good actually. Just commit in feb/mar and u should get ur new ride in may.

Another way is to bid for your own coe. Then u can have more control over the timing.

You can request and put this request in writing when you book your car.

I am looking at from layman's eye. Honda jazz or fit or toyota corolla has been around for don't know how many generations...you can still see them on the street every where. Singaporean are in love with japan car for a reason. I use car for day to day matters and i drive until it reaches 10 years, the last thing I want is frequent visit to workshop. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Choose a car that can last you 10 years.

Can Honda Fit accommodate an expanded family down the road?

Yes, definitely choose a car that can last you a while.

A) If you choose a car you cannot bear looking at, sooner or later you will change it.

B) If you choose a car that cannot fit your expanded family, sooner or later you will change it.

C) If you choose a car that have poor reliability, sooner or later you will change it.

For the above options (non-exhaustive), I would say they are in order of priority given that B) your family should not expand that soon, C) the reliability issues usually only set in after a few years (when it is out of warranty).

Cheers

Well i am not expert but i have driven over 25 years on cars such as hyundai, honda, toyota, renault, lexus and now soon to be kia. Lexus was easily the best in terms of reliability. I drove up to almost the 10 year mark without a single major repair. However honda and toyota was easily the least reliable with major parts changes before the 5 year mark which i skipped the repairs by changing cars. Obviously, your experience might differ but why the fascination with jap car and reliability? All of the toyota cars sold in Singapore are made in thai right? My Corolla was pretty crap. Always give me problems.

If you go Toyota thread and say this, you might not survive.
