Turbocharged

Floyd using same tactic as pacman match. Defence all the way. N connor nvr boxed this long b4...n expected he got tired. Then floyd went on the attack. Like connor said aft the match, its jus fatigue. He should hv trained his stamina more.

It's not "just" fatigue. It's a match loser. Remember the age gap. May is just a smarter fighter.

The ref was right to stop the fight. Severe injuries and even deaths have happened in boxing when they don't recognise a lost situation early.

Yep, can see by the 7th round fatigue got Conor already.

And mayweather is 10 years older than Conor.

Mayweather hasn't lost a bout since he lose the semi finals of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics by a controversial decision. As much as he has a very boring boxing style, have to give it to him. He's really a master of being undefeated.

i recall some critic said mayweather is more like a "strategist" boxer rather than great boxer

who cares ... result is everything

and the winnings ... show me the money !!!

MMA matches don't last very long. McGregor just doesn't have the grounding in boxing matches, which can sometimes drag till the last round. What was he hoping to do? Maybe thinking he can KO Mayweather and finish the match in the first few rounds? Virtually impossible.

Better for McGregor to walk off uninjured. He still young and can continue his MMA dominance for many more years.

If he got serious hurt from this match, his career in MMA will be over.

Mayweather in good shape for an 'uncle'. In singapore he will get eldershield letter liao.

A rigged match to me. Globally too many people are betting on Conor and base on the odds payout, all the "legal bookie" will lose a few hundreds millions each that why the black referee stop the fight before Conor goes down and declare Mayweather the winner.....as Long as Coner is up that is still a risk his left hook might connect Mayweather and upset the boxing community

Correct, he is a technical boxer.

Doest care about big punches or showmanship flare.

Just classic, reserve stamina to the end and then start to connect.

Very boring to watch but its a consistent textbook technique and strategy.

In boxing, they say its not how much you can give but how much you can take.

Mcgregor gave a lot but he pongchek towards the last few rounds as predicted by Mayweather.

"He wont go the distance, mark my words" was what Mayweather said in an earlier interview prior to match.

Personally i dont like either fighter but i wont support a cocky fella who walks into another persons home and claims it to be his own. Too much thrash talk.

Its not rocket science that Mayweather would be completely devoured in the Octagon by Mcgregor as well. So the moral is dont go looking for shit if shit doesnt go looking for you.

Of course.

And why just a TKO?

Should let Mayweather KO Macgregor completely, right?

Referee so kancheong step in to save.

I still prefer the Nate Diaz one which got mcgregor tapped out.

Skinny young fella with not much muscles nor tattoos forces ferocious, loudmouth champion to tap out.

Bloodied face but keeps coming back for more and just wont give up.... thats a real fighter.

And not just older, but as well, smaller, shorter, lighter.

The arm reach difference is quite great.

Referee ahould not step in so soon lah.

KO more shiok. TKO not shiok enough.

If this is a mma match up Irishman will definitely win, he like want to take down The money man a few times when he hugged him.

Floyd is really a marketing expert, very well plan and executed. The thrash talk and his record draw the crowd.

wonder how much did Hublot spend this today??

Thr Ref was easy with Macgregor who used non-legal hits on the real boxer many many times.

Eg. Hammer fist to back of head and roundhouse hooks to back of head.

And he was swinging very wide leaving the center unguarded which is very MMA.

Actually a more attacking style boxer might hv taken Macgregor to the mat a lot quicker.

One of my favourite fighters, be it boxing, mma, etc etc is Thailand's Muay Thai King, Buakaw Porpramuk. See his climb to championship over many years of hardcore training and fights from a small boy to young man to fully accomplished fighter. His kicks are ferocious shit!

Good nite fellas

They both made tons of money. Conor knew exactly what he was doing, and most of the trash talk came from his lips.

Anyway, I like the late addition of 2 more votes in favour of May. If they had been for Mac I would've been really worried. :D

I wonder if Connor is now the richest mma fighter.

No need to continue fighting anymore. Just 1 proper punch or kick in the octagon could kill him. No point risking anymore.

He was on welfare just a few years ago. Should now retire and take care of his wife and family who stood beside him.

Maybe join wwe, at least safer.

Actually mayweather is smart. he marketed himself to the max.

He's also actually so good that he avoids most heavy hits, so preserving his brain.

So he's less likely to end up with Parkinson's or dementia  [laugh]

Smart man lah.

Got $ and also the brainpower to use it, so that he won't be some doddering idiot at 60  [:p]
