I can tell you the number of clowns who used excuse of some train breakdowns to goof off for hours at coffee break.

because of the beri strong good foundations and policies established by old guards like Goh Keng Swee...our country still continues to see stability up til now, thats why we can for the time being ignore gaffes and mistakes from the present existing govenment...

 

but ...  in the years to come... only time will tell whether the present PAP will undo all the strong foundations laid until now.

 

I think all of us here have a right to worry about the future.

Every empire /dynasty went through the phases of the rise, golden age and decline.

 

If we don't get any better talents as the next two generations of leadership - I mean visionaries and real leaders, not political salarymen - then today may very well be the tail end of our golden age. What may come next are going to be signs of rot and decline setting in and things starting to go downhill from there. I don't think we're there yet but certainly on the brink of it.

 

Mediocrity in a country's leadership is simply not an option for survival these days.

Your points all revolve around pay. You are trying to express that the highly paid must be accountable, but isn't this a moot point and stating the obvious? The progress of the MRT repairs and the new lines completion is proof. The breakdowns are fixed immediately once they happen. New improved schedules for maintenance are promised.

 

Why can't you accept that Desmond had no malicious intent nor did he instigate his senior managers to "go-slow" on the repairs and upgrade? Why are you so hungry for your pound of flesh?

 

If you cannot prove expertise in the matter at hand, then you are merely bellyaching. You have no technical expertise high ground to preach. You are also not senior management in another public transport company offering assistance and insight. Such complaints and grumbles become more of stating-the-obvious and not helpful.

 

It is obvious that gahmen bashers just have a bone to pick and demand a head as punishment. They see themselves as judge-jury-executioner. Just like the foreign western press which LKY loved to take down a notch.

 

What was done to you in the past that you have such a chip on your shoulder against the gahmen?

 

Equally curious. We all knew that by your theory only a person who know better then qualify to voice an opinion.

Then, please tell us who you really are, so that we understand you are the right person and most qualify person to defend government, minsters, Desmond, MRT and transport companies. If not, how to believe your teachings can hold water?
