Oh. Wanted that color too. Safest from dust and dirt but the wife likes red. Hahahaha

Actually it's not really safe from first and dirt. My work place is near a construction site and alot of dust settles on the cars. Whenever it rains, my car looks like it has melting make-up on it if you know what i mean. My previous car was a lighter silver and it was less obvious.

Well, we didn't choose the colour to be safe from dust and dirt. We just like it from amongst the available colours.

I considered red but my wife doesn't like red. haha...

Jus collected my tonneau cover today. Frankly speaking, if the cover is pulled to cover up the boot, it is posing sm obstruction to access.. I prefer those covers that c/w 2 strings attached to the tailgate, which lifts the cover at the same time the tailgate is lifted to open up the access to the boot, like in my ex-SX4..

How many of you Eclipse Cross owners own the:

1) No sunroof version

2) Sunroof version

What was the motivation in choosing the no sunroof / sunroof version?

Yes the cover is very different from our previous SX4's but I actually removed the cover from my SX4 and kept it in my storeroom most of the time. The cover only saw light of day again when I handed over my SX4 over for trade-in.

No Sunroof, bcos $2K more expensive, not really practical in equatorial SG, n wary of more mtce needed (e.g. rubber lining). But abit regretted now bcos it's really good to disperse heat in a parked vehicle under the hot sun..

Huh? U took out the SX4 tonneau cover? Then this EC cover u sure will remove le.. it's really obstructive, after all the trouble I wanted to get it..

I'll take the non sunroof version as well.

Hard and costly to maintain, especially years down the road.

And the weather here is so hot, and unpredictable rain. No point having a sunroof.

Sunroof. It was only $2k more with $1k higher omv. So technically it was a good buy. Kids enjoy the extra light coming in at the back row especially when they need to read. It's also really good for quick dissipation of heat when you park under the hot sun.

Sunroof for me.

It's not something that can be add on later if I change my mind. My current car has sunroof too, doesn't need any special maintenance.

The dual roof set up looks unique to me and I bet my future kid will like it too. Once in a while can lie down and star gaze. Anyway, it's just 3k more.
