Need some advise guys. It’s my First time buying a car.
got attracted by a 6k discount on a demo test drive car and went ahead to place a deposit. The current odometer is at around 700km..

but as it is a non guaranteed coe bid, I have worries that the process will be Long and by then I’m not sure how much mileage will the test drive car clock as there’s no official cap to it

kinda paranoid now, may I ask if anyone bought a demo car that turned out fine? Shld I just ignore my worries or try to ask if I can Top  up to get a new car

Normally when the AD put the demo car for sales, they would have replace it with a new demo car (unless it is showroom display unit). Did the SE tell you the car will continue to be used until they secure the COE for you? Why not give a call to your SE to confirm, instead of getting unease?

Last, in the current climate, I don't see any issue going for non guaranteed bidding, as unlikely to have a surge in demand and price given the market condition. Good luck and do keep us posted of the outcome. We are  here to help. [:)]

Thank you for your reply.. yes it was mentioned that it will be used until 1)coe is secured 2) when AD manage to arrange for replacement test drive car at their convenience.. that time I was alrrady starting to sign documents so I alrrady blur Liao since first time buying.. and thought the mileage will remain relatively Low..

anxiously waiting for coe today.. hopefully I can get it ! Next would be how Long they’ll take to arrange for their replacement car.

just kinda worried about the engine condition if mileage goes above 3000km .. was reading through some horror stories of ppl buying demo cars on the forum then started to get paranoid lol

Let me guess, the AD start with C**?

Too late for me to say this now but when buying a demo car, have to get the AD to commit that they will remove the car from test drive / show room at certain date / mileage, and also a timeline for handing over the car (I know they are bidding for COE, but that is an excuse to me). Like in your situation, they sell you the car at $6K discount (at 700+/- Km mileage), but if they continue to use it till end of the year or even before CNY, the mileage would easily be double, and that make the $6K discount not really a good discount.

But since you have sign the agreement, let see how things turns out. All the best.

Hi, I would like to share the exorbitant parking fees imposed at Ngee Ann city, and hope that car owners or bikers can be aware of their unreasonable parking principles applied.

On 19 nov 2019, I rode my motorbike (not cars) to park at Ngee Ann City.  My entry time was 4.27 pm.  MY exit was 7.37 pm.  So, technically, the duration of the parking there was 3 hr 10 mins.  Guess how much I was charged when I exit the premises?  $14.12!!!

The parking rates at Ngee Ann city is as follows:

$1.28   (from 2.01 pm to 5pm) - every 30 mins or part thereof

$1.82   (from 5.01 pm to 7pm)  -  ditto

$4.28 per entry charge  (from 7.01 pm to 12 midnight)

I did not exit the premises to re-enter after 7.01 pm.  I was still there.  But they charged me $4.28 per entry for parking after 7.37 pm!!!!  My vehicle was still there but they charged me for "per entry".  How logical is this??

Therefore, whoever wants to park at NAC, please take note of their exorbitant fee charged for over-parked after 7.01 pm.  They will apply the Per-entry rates on your vehicle even though you did not exit the premises.  Secondly, a note to all bikers - they apply car rates on your bike!!  So, be forewarned of daylight robbery if you park there!!

Hi,

I have just replaced a holden Rodeo Ra heater Blower fan assembly in a friends car and it seems that it is only working on speed 4. On Speed 1 2 and 3 nothing is happening. I tried back the old fan as well and it has the same issue.

Any leads on how to fix this? Could it be wiring? Could that come from the button?

Any help woulf be appreciated. Thanks

Hello I am newbie here..have been reading the posts here for long time but just decided to register an account. I need some advice on car accident.

My friend was involved in a very minor traffic accident with a comfort delgro taxi in car park (super slow motion with low impact). The taxi driver came down to check and was perfectly fine. After exchanging contacts and filed for insurance claim, the police suddenly informed him that the taxi driver got MC and filed police report. The accident was my friend's fault because his phone fell (he put his phone against D gear to listen to GPS), and he bent down to find the phone but forgot he is on D... so the car rolled from the parking lot and crashed into the moving taxi. My friend apologised and reported to insurer for taxi's damage (minor). He has been driving for more than 30 years with no accident history.

Your friend's car has car cam and video footage still intact?

If have, show it to police and the insurer. Else can try to make a police report and get the insurance company to survey the damage (car), then argued about the injury sustained by the taxi driver.

Just want to report a bug in Marketplace.

On Tyres and Rims page, after I filter by Rim Size (PCD = 5x112, Radius = 18"), I get 2 pages of search results. When I click page 2 or Next, the filtering is gone and I get 131 pages! Same thing happens when I sort the 2 pages of search results.

Hi, may i know the extra costs involved in purchasing a car in Malaysia? Am from singapore and Bought a property in Malacca recently.  Am thinking of buying a car but i do not understand the terms. It seems a new car found on a car forum costs for e.g. 1.1million Rm but that same car, being sold 2nd hand on another website costs 2.5million. So am a little bit confused about the extras here. Uploading a picture as an example and yes i am interested in this type of cars so i will really appreciate if someone can help. Also number plates. I found a number i liked and made a deal with the seller. How do i go about registering on my new car. Can i just buy the plate and put it under my name first (without a car)? Is there like a 1 year grace period for me to put on a vehicle? Can anyone advise me or link me up on some site please? Thank you very much. And happy new year to everyone.
