Hmm, I'm not quite keen on replacing the whole headlight, since it's still working fine, was thinking if there's ways to just replace the cover, cause I see online there are places that sell just the cover, or even like just some epoxy just to fix the cracks, anyone done that before?

Look for those people who repair windscreen glass. Dont ask me. Ownself use the search bar in this website to look for it.

🙂

Not sure if you are confused. Headlight assembly is the entire plastic housing. It does not include the bulbs which are working in your case. If the cover is cracked through, then it is not working fine. Water seepage is an incipient issue which can short your circuit and you will then minimally need to change your bulbs if not more. You can go to car scrap yard to check if they have any cover to sell. You will probably need to pay for installation work since one will likely still need to remove the assembly to replace the cover unless you DIY. Epoxy is a cheap alternative. It probably can last a bit if you don't mind the asthetic. If you are looking at those advertised liquid that claims to conceal cracks, perhaps others who have used that could advise. I believe the effectiveness will depend on the extent and severity of your crack. In the meantime, I will suggest that you tape up the cracked area to waterproof it. Dec is a typical rainy month. On a lighter note, I once saw a lorry brake light assembly half filled with water and it was still working fine. I even joked that the driver could rear fish in it. All the best.

Are you sure it can be waterproof as good as factory?

This is especially during DOWNPOUR.

No I'm not, hence the question here...

I have an innovative idea that can reduce anger and bad mood
and so accidents with cars. What can I do with it? Can I send it
to any famous magazine about cars? Which are any good magazines?

Hi,

I've gotten my first new car, a Nissan Sylphy two years ago and the button to unlock the car is not working. I've to unlock via carkey remote and occasionally the car won't start unless I unlock with the carkey remote again. Is this a problem with the carkey remote battery or the car? Should I bring to Nissan Service Centre for such issue?

Thanks.

Hello, I have MAYBE problem with my new led lights.

I bought LED lights for HB3. I plug it in. It works. I shut off the engine and try to place the light better. I touched the aluminium part of the LED light and it was hot so much. Is it problem or is that totally normal thing?

Thanks.

Hi.  I am wanting to make a post regarding making a key fob copy.  Not copying the remote access part of the key, but the physical access key that is tucked inside the fob.

My wife's 2014 Jeep GC has two key fobs that gobble batteries.  Cheaper just to buy new batteries vs. a new fob that will just end up doing the same thing.

Wife got locked out of the car the other day due to the dead fob, so I want to stick a manual access copy in a magnet box somewhere under or up in it.

Thanks!

hello there i just passed my license a few months back and am new to the car scene, i started driving my dad’s BMW 3 series e90 and it started making this whirring noise everytime i accelerate or when the car moves , when i asked him he said it’s probably the brakes/brake disc making the noise but i still have doubts so i figured asking here to get an opinion before i go to a workshop :)

Hi all,

I would like to seek some expert's advice on this.

I am in the red car trying to reverse into the parking lot. However, due to space constraint. I could only maneuver to the opposite direction (1)

Then i reversed parked with my hazard lights on (2)

However, the green colored car was impatient and hit my side bumper and drove off.

I want to report this, but there are people saying that it could be my fault as well.

Any experienced driver opinions on this?

Hello, I wanted to start a topic actually to get opinions of my current predicament.

I knocked into a pedestrian crossing a red-man traffic light when I was turning right, and he was crossing from my right. He was an elderly pedestrian so suffered from hip fractures but is fully recovered. I wasn’t speeding, traffic light is not turning amber, not drink driving, did not flee from scene but gave all my assistance.. but.. prosecutor insisted to sentence me to 1 month in jail.. I even got a traffic reconstruction expert to proof that my view was impaired by pedestrians waiting for the traffic light.. didn’t help.. not sure what else should I do.. I feel I don’t deserve to be jailed.. this is my very first traffic offence after 10 years of getting license. Appreciate any advice.

You need to engage a lawyer to represent you and plead your case.

Only the judge can hand you a sentence, not the prosecutor who can only charge you in court, seeking a jail sentence but the final verdict/judgment is the judge's to make.

Defensive driving advocates  slowing down and prepare for a complete stop at a pedestrian crossing. It is unfortunate that you did neither which may have prevented the accident.

Nonetheless, hope you receive a fair judgement and will learn to be more careful driving henceforth.

I am glad the elderly pedestrian did not end up more severely injured or dead, for your sake.

If anyone see this question kindly guide me. My question.

If my car vibrate when idle / stopping at traffic light.. and rpm constant.. and okay when driving, is that a cause for concern *? 8 years old car and mileage 120k. Mazda 3.

What can I do.
