I think they also see the fitness of the patient. If very fragile, better not sedate.

i didn't know there are options. I was sedated as mine is done up the arse and also down the throat.

It has been 6 years since that procedure. Might have to do another one soon.

Usually if you do the throat as well, they will sedate you. If only do colon, still can no need sedate. But if you go to private hospital to do, think default is sedate even you do colon only.

Ya, pancreatic cancer indeed quite difficult to detect. Usually must go for some CT scan then can see. Blood test might not so accurate. I have one uncle also died from pancreatic cancer, stage 4 when detected, and passed on in less than 6 months. Pancreatic cancer quite common nowadays and really have to be careful. Usually pain in the abdomen or back which is one of the symptom, must go do some checking. Since many people thought abdomen pain is due to indigestion or gastric.

Don't scare me, quite common ar... My nephew also passed on six month upon first diagnosed. He was suppose to be treated for suspected gallstone and accidentally discover it.

If do both, better instruct them to the throat first follow by the backside. Just in case they use the same scope. 🤣

No need so scare but if notice some symptoms which might be related to pancreatic, better have it check la. Since pancreas cancer is common now and think also difficult to detect even with health screening.

By right should not have sai taste cause you should have clear until super clean in your colon before your coloscopy. Lol.

but sedate or not, I think men above 50 should go have it screened. I was told 1 time every 5 years is good practice.

I heard if they find growth in there, can immediately zap it dead.

Ya, anyone who reach 50 year old, better go and do. Then depend on the condition of your colon status during that time, so next screening can be between 3-5 years. If they find some polyps inside your colon, they can remove them or even send it for lab test.
