Modify the bracelet?  He is joking.  Obviously, you watch repairman is bogus.  Stay away from him.
There is nothing to modify to fit the bracelet to the watch head.

officially 34 and 36mm are classic men sizes…..it is only in recent decade that 36mm became known as unisex becos women wanted bigger watches.

so 34 and 36mm gold Rolexes were super popular during our fathers time.  It isnt stupid at all.

of course, the president bracelet only came with one Rolex, the Daydate aka President
I hope he didnt file down an original president bracelet from 20mm to 19mm.  🤦🏻‍♂️
most people use an aftermarket jewellers president bracelet with the 34mm oysterdate which has 19mm lugs , it is much cheaper (about half the price)

sigh…..   i am guessing $8500 must be years ago.
Becos a good original president bracelet wouldnt be so cheap today.

in any case, this is a watch you will be keeping so for you ultimately, its okay.

wear it in good health. A solid gold classic Rolex is a beautiful watch to behold

Bros, @Throttle2 & @Gnahp just check with you,if you have quite a few Watches & those seldom wear,do you often them take out & Wind-Up or put it in a Watch Winder for 5 Hours everyday,or just leave it alone.?

I asked the same question to this guy before

he said let the watch run once in a while to distribute the oil in the movement, can use watch winder but don't keep it running all the time as that will accelerate the wear too, got to strike a balance between running and rest if you are not wearing it
