Cannot give comparison as no reference.. My son had an accident with PHV.. son fault. The IO is very very very hard to contact.. basically they do everything with the workshop.. one thing I don’t like is lack of transparency.. dunno how much the actual repair cost although workshop said $14,400.. and FWD willing to do a lump sum of $14K.. everything is they said.. claim lost of use and tow fee is efficient. the third party claim by the other is termed settled BUT again dunno how and what amount settled just received lawyer letter on injury claim by phv driver amounting to 7k. Throw to FWD settle.. still pending.. i guess the insurance industry is.... that’s why even IDAC failed.. just make sure the cake is big enuff to feed everyone.. What it cost the insurer doesn't really concern me As long as they do their part and settle the claim that's all i expect from them Not like a few years ago where there was a report of an insurer who void claim becoz policyholder had changed sports rims and didn't notify them. The insurer used that as an excuse to avoid paying although it was a hit and run accident which had nothing to do with sports rim.....damn CB. Nowadays i see their premium quite low but stay far far away.

Nowadays i see their premium quite low but stay far far away. If it is stated clearly during underwriting process, LLST. If not, complain to MAS la. Anyway, i don't trust direct insurers as their client pool are kiam siap kind 1. Confirm will be treated as 1 too.

Agent008 2nd Gear March 31, 2020 Share March 31, 2020 For FWD car insurance Classic type, the insurance claim for third party's car is only up to $5000...which is kinda low esp if you hit an expensive car.

Vinceng Turbocharged August 2, 2020 Share August 2, 2020 Surprised that FWD doesn't cover Perodua cars. Are there any reasons given? I can understand if they don't cover high risk cars like WRX, EVO or Civic.
Samlimlp 2nd Gear August 3, 2020 Share August 3, 2020 (edited) I have been on FWD for the last 4 years and definitely cheaper than NTUC, Aviva, AIG. In addition to your NCD, for existing customer, they give additional discount plus early bird renewal discount. Just remember to check yearly that they give you the additional 10% NCD if you do not have any claims for the last one year. From accident reporting and claim perspective, not much difference with exception that NTUC today have they Motorbike staff coming to you and site of accident for accident reoorting, while FWD you go to their authorised workshop for reporting and repairs. Their hotline call-centre not difficult to get thru and courteous. They may not be able to answer all your queries but will escalate for attention.
