No need to activate. Wait till no reception. Insert new SIM card, viola ! Mine was all done in 2 hrs. 

Collected at 8 pm, 10 pm already using new carrier.

    Change plan can be done via eight account or simply head down to our eight retailers/ service centre.

    Your latest entitlements will take effect as soon as you upgrade. For downgrade, your plan will take effect after your current cycle of plan ends.

btw is there a VoLTE setting on iphone 16? seem cannot find.. read that all newer iphone already activate VoLTE by default?

I thought Volte are all auto nowadays, I think calling singapore number from overseas under eight is free.

Settings => mobile service => sims => voice & data

I managed to find. But it was set by default.

8.com isn't faultless. 

During the GE WP rally at temasak JC. I couldn't even load a page. Same go to my son line as well. Zero data network. Both of us on 8.com. Regained network after coming out from the stadium gate.

Apparently crowded open field data connection might cause an issue.

overloading... with so many people took up 8, expected in crowded places.

My girl already kpkb about laggy on MRT, think will switch after the stored $ use up.

affects all telcos worldwide. you get the same at stadiums, except at big stadium they already have additional capacity setup. sometimes they add extra like you see in the picture below where mobile base stations on trucks to cope with the additional capacity.

wah seh. u younger time never go Countdown etc?

Singtel also will kana one lah. Lol just less so cos singtel network has the most bandwidth. 

I believe there's a rule that any commercial/residential building in SG must allow Singtel installation of network antennas. So it's usually default in all buildings.

Yes, I did went for countdown when young. 

But....those were all in a room with 6 to 8 patrons the most.
