Bcuz my home Simba data-only plan, now can get 5G. I assume they have installed a lot of 5G transmitters since then. 😁 Looks like simba is better than eight? Only downside for SIMBA is their network is still not as good as the other 3 telco. Their overseas roaming is great, no complain. Recently they had a promo of topping up $20 you'll get another $20. Now I'm paying like half the price of the original plan - which is less than $10 for 500GB local, 25GB asia-pacific, 8GB overseas and 700mins talktime inclusive of IDD calls!!! 🤪

Kb27 Supersonic March 30, 2025 Share March 30, 2025 And be reminded, Simba is a full telco, not MVNO. They have their own infrastructure and should be competing at Singtel, Starhub, m1, "price level", but they seemed to be competing with MVNO pricing. Just makes me wonder, how many smaller MVNO will survive ? Due for a consolidation soon ?
Mkl22 Supersonic March 30, 2025 Share March 30, 2025 I would be more cautious of simba since they are a telco but yet with so low prices. The rest of the mvno buy from bandwidth from Singtel starhub. Their cost is actually lower. singtel starhub I’m sure have long recovered the cost of their 5G infrastructure. 8 mobile is actually owned by starhub. Somewhat like a scoot of SIA.
