When you're using a web browser, what comes as "instant page display" is more a function of latency, and less of max download.

A close competitor like 5G giga is $18 for 300GB, and I get 300Mbps. Thanks, but I'll take the savings of $13. 😀

HD Video streaming takes average 25Mbps. Plus web browsing, it's less than 100Mbps. Unless you have 6 video streaming sessions going on concurrently, you're unlikely to notice any slow down or jerky videos.

So, after 18yrs with SingTel, today put in my Port-In request to Zero1, albeit still on the ST network, but 1/4 the price with more data and 3GB free Asian roaming that includes HK, China, Japan, and Korea.

The queues at the IT-Show for SIMBA and Eight were a little stupid, but I had already ruled them both out, so I think the next best choice.

Latency difference not noticeable in daily use for web surfing or videos. The only benefit is less congestion with the 4G network.

Just back from a week's stay at Shen Zhen for business trip. Considering the amount of websites blocked using their WiFi, 7GB was just enough for me to use apps, surf net and and check messages. No watching of YT or uploading pics to albums.

So 7GB is not a lot actually if going China.

So far so good for me on SIMBA.

I went from Singtel to Starhub to M1.

As M1 no free roaming, i hopped to SIMBA.

I'm using Eight can make and call in Malaysia no issue, never try other country but should be able to.

Sorry, not calls..... There is no outgoing overseas SMS, and no back-end Call Forwarding.

It's my boy's Maxx that has no overseas calls.

So many maybe even cheaper have all these things.

actually why do u still need outgoing sms, nowadays got whatsapp and messenger. I never use for years also.

It's a main number for my work so let's say cover "worse case".

For the sake of a dollar or two, better for me to make sure I have 100% functionality. It's still bizarre to me that companies like M1 with Maxx offer a network that cannot receive or make calls.

only limited to singapore number, if calling hotel, restaurants, friends fr non sg number will still charge at IDD rate.

Never have to call hotel. If friends it's WhatsApp, Wechat etc. If restaurants just ask concierge to book.

I am using 8 telco now. Used to be with simba. 

$8 a month, you get 288gb + shared data roaming across Malaysia, 10GB across APAC. 

The reason why i change is because the network coverage for simba really not the best. I sometimes, wanna buy luckin coffee at my office, because no network, i never buy. 

Help me save money thou. hahahahaha

I'm using Eight as my main line also, so far this should be the best plan especially for those that drive into JB frequently.

Used to have Simba as spare for my android car player since they started the free trial for about 2 years then continued till early this year then I cancelled. Indeed the reception is not good at many places, good for spare line only. I changed my spare line to Eight also.
