I actually have a M1 500MB data card free every month, excess is $10 per GB. So mayb I can use the card to test see if it can handle. [laugh][laugh][laugh]

I dont mind buying two 4G routers to break up into 2 grps of 6 and 7 if this can work...^_^

bandwidth is really very low, mayb like less than 100MB in total each week, so I think 1GB a month is more than enough. Frequency 2.4GZ enough liao, no need 5G...

actually my requirement is quite simple. The phones are all connected via an app, and then place at 10m-30m a part in the open, when an object walk pass, the phone will take a photo and starts its timer. when the object walk pass the 2nd phone, it will take a photo as well and stop the timer. As the object continue to walk towards the other phones, the process repeat, until the end.

The timings transmitted to all the phones are via internet, but consumption is actually very little.

any other non-consumer options you can gai siao? ^_^[laugh][laugh]

Have you looked at SigFox?

Don't know how customised your solution is as it seems you have quite a defined problem statement, seems like it is an audit method to ensure a security guard is making his assigned rounds in the expected time and frequency.

If so, there are other ways to skin the cat.

SigFox very limited bandwith and high latency.. more suitable for sensors.

Consider using the phone itself as a portable hotspot ? This way, u probably need a few data sim onli. cheapest is redone at $8.
