Really a nanny state. Shocking.

Wiping of table should be a form of social etiquette. Don't need government to provide wiping tissue.

What is going on in Singapore.

I will always clean up table before eat.  After eat make sure table is clean up again.

Now default carry wet and dry tissue.

I suggest wall-up the complete hawker centre.

Have a door queue and issue every customers who wants to go in to eat, a broom, a mop, some cleaning aids.

They can clean a section of the hawker centre where they eat, just like your own home. 😁

Don't let them leave, if they did not clean up. 😝

It's a hawker centre...you make it macam concentration camp liddat...😂

Cannot la, who will pay for all those broom, mop and cleaning aids le?! Wait next time need to pay $20 for a bowl of WTM in hawker centre. 😅

Anyway, i don't find this method can work. You see many people in sg very good life one, most of them no need to do house chores, or even their own house also not say very clean, so ask them to clean up the hawker centre, they rather go elsewhere to eat. So hawker centre might ended up as ghost town, no people go there to eat liao. 😂

Hearsay even army camp now, like also no need to do area cleaning in some area liao, cause outsource to people to do area cleaning.

Give diners equipment to wipe down tables to improve cleanliness at food outlets: Researchers

Went to Hokkaido last year, their foodcourts do provide wet cloths for diners to wipe the tables.

I personally think this is a good suggestion, it will promote a cleaner dining environment. There will be people refuse to do it but if majority willing to do it, the overall dining experiebce will be more pleasant. Remember many people make noise about return tray initially but we have crossed the bridge, tables at food courts are a lot neater at least.

Didn't know have Researchers doing such study.....

Must be a very common subject.

Anything that can help bring down biz costs...alleviate labour crunch...uplift cleanliness...bring more footfall to eateries...can tax more on incum...more peeps to exercise with the free area clearing...one batu scores many many points...😅

I think what will happen is that  the table will not be cleaned , but all the equipment provided (table cloth, tissue, etc) will be brought home for their own household purposes....😁
