Big win for Pool, defeat for City at PSG in clash of 2 of the favourites.

Biggest upset was Moldovan side FC Sheriff win at Real Madrid! Who says UCL need re structuring? Current format i feel just right where minnows could still qualify for competition proper though needing to go thru few rounds whilst big boys being seeded are also ensured a place.

The often comment was that there were meaningless games currently but who says playing 10 group games (which is the proposed new format) will not result in this. In fact, i think more likely to hv rubber games in enlarged groupings than current format.

milan lost again.

i really worry that no italian team will make it through the group stage..........

@Beregond I can't be bothered though as long as my beloved Reds progressed. Italian sides have been in the down for a while already. AC Milan was only back like after 7 years absence and Inter hasn't been knocking on the doors as well. Surprise Team for this season's CL must be FC Sheriff. Never heard of this club before and they register two wins out of two, including winning away at Real Madrid, this is definitely an achievement.

This season ucl i am a plastic sheriff fan. Not bad for a bunch of moldovian  chicken smugglers, can beat real madrid.

The proposed Super League definitely will not include teams like Sheriff cos it’s a closed League with only elite clubs invited in n no need for qualification hence its a bad idea. 

The proposed new UCL structure allows qualification for smaller teams but the group stages involves 10 games vs 6 games now. Don’t see how it will add excitement n hv less meaningless games. Think it’s all about $, UEFA n some of the bigger clubs want to milk UCL for their benefit but this will come at the expense of domestic Leagues n the big v small club divide will grow even wider. Just leave it as it is if u ask me.

Ya n the worst part is that the other 9 teams ie the 6 EPL teams, Ath Madrid, Inter n Milan were reprimanded n the 6 EPL teams were suppose to pay a collective goodwill fine of £22mil for their part in this Super League. They were condemned as greedy, opportunistic n having no empathy for the working class fans which make up the majority of football fans. 

They were rightly castigated but yet those 3 clubs Real, Barca n Juve still clung on to their belief in the Super League, refused to back down n were not condemned at all. Really ironic as I remember the UEFA President mentioned that it was not too late to back down when news of the Super League first broke out. The 9 clubs did back down almost immediately but yet were reprimanded but those 3 still yaya papaya👎

they need to pay koeman 10m if they sack him. and worst thing is who want to take over barc now.? barc cannot sign anymore players due to wages restriction

Tuchel needs to get a second striker to play the passes to supply Lukaku.

And Chelsea can win both the PL and CL.

I think they should get Kane. He will supply Lukaku and City will come in second in the League.

chelsea change their style of play after lukaku come in , and its not really working atm.

last season under tuchel they created the most number of chances despite not scoring alot.

they get lukaku in to fix that, now suddenly they cannot create any more. 

alot of ppl didnt realise how good timo is until they stop playing him.

and i can sense tiredness in the players. 1 week 2 game is no joke. tuchel need to trust the rest of the squad more. and it dun help suddenly all the hard game come at 1 time.........
