my 9.5 years old car went through the following sets

1. Continental CSC5 (came with the car)

2. Bridgestone GR100

3. Michelins PS4

4. Bridgestone T005A

5. Bridgestone S007A (current set)

comfort/quiet order (best to worst)

Bridgestone T005A - Bridgestone GR100 - Continental CSC5 - Michelins PS4 - Bridgestone S007A

performance order (best to worst)

Bridgestone S007A - Bridgestone GR100 - Bridgestone T005A - Continental CSC5 - Michelins PS4

From your ranking seems that the Bridgestone T005A and GR100 are good all-rounders.

@currypuff I genuinely wondered about that too. Several of the reviews by local Tourador buyers claim they are quiet. But are they objectively so? Have yet to find more solid info.

Whatever the case, the sticker is a big no-no for me though.

Unless they use sound meter apps to measure the noise level.

@DOBIEMKZ

yes

but the S007A is so much communicative and sharp in steering feel than the Touranza series tyres

it also make you kpkb LTA on less than perfect road surfaces

can't have best of both worlds

Thanks for the info.
Also from my experience, those so-called quiet tyres they can be very silent on good surfaces but become quite vocal on coarse (not necessarily rough) surfaces.
Hence no such thing as quietness across all scenarios.

true, the texture of the tarmac also play a part

i.e. recently repaved PIE section along Tampines, Bedok, Kaki Bukit stretch give very little tyre noise

Those stretches are now smoother.😀

I like that the darker surfaces and new paint also make the lane markers more prominent in rainy and wet weather.

Some worn out stretches the lane markings are difficult to see during rain.

Very quiet. On my car now. Very happy with it.

The sidewall is very soft so the outer diameter for the 225/45 may Swee Swee match the OD of 215/45 tyres with harder sidewall.
