Most career military guys tend to be lean. even if muscular also definitely try not to be body builder type.
Otherwise very tong ku when u do endurance runs one mah [laugh]

even if u work with heavy equipment or what, they tend to be the farmer kind of muscular.

This body type confirm not elite soldiers🤣

Parachute cannot hold the weight plus equipment.

If Navy seal or diver type, cannot enter those combatant sub or cannot manoeuvre in tight space.

Also confirm not be sniper....

Too large a target for enemy sniper to see🤣

This is anduril

A very young company that's changing the defence landscape.

Mass produced products that's cheaper than what traditionally is offered. Solving the missile deficit that is proving to be a huge problem of modern war.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anduril_Industries

And this is the CEO founder..

Palmer Freeman Luckey

September 19, 1992 (age 32).. that's today,  not during the start hor..

The products of the company aside.

The issue is this... and its not even military... how do they create so many young geniuses while over here, if you're not in your 40s at least,  people generally think you are not ready for "big things".?

What's wrong with our society, education system,  way of thinking?

Why no one comments the tank is in a truck instead of moving by itself?

Engine missing?

The best and brightest goes over there mah. Europe, China, India, everywhere is brain drain to USA.
The top student in my graduating class went to USA and never came back.
They are a brain drain on the rest of the world. Over there everything is possible if you're the top top. But correspondingly, if u are not at the top 1/2, sorry life's going to be dog gone miserable.

The US education, capitalistic financial reward system is all geared towards individual exceptionalism. And that capitalistic nature seeps into everything. It's the survival of the richest and fittest.
In USA, the peaks and the troughs are especially pronounced.

Definitely SG culture trend towards conservative, since we are culturally and cultivated not to be rule breakers. Even the way we individual parents bring up our kids.

Calling your in laws by name is common in Western society. Just this simple fact means you don't factor into my thought process. It's individual first. This is getting more pronounced over the last 100+ years.

Nope... it's common.

1. Tank tracks will year up your tarmac road. Unless they specially install pads on the tracks, that alone also cost a lot for time and money.

2. The tank bases could literally be 100km away from parade ground. Run a whole fleet of AFVs that distance and you are almost granted to have breakdowns. Wear and tear.

3. Those are all washed and cleaned long in advance in base, probably even also polished to some extent. You want them shiny for the parade.

But is that the full story? Somehow I doubt so.

Singapore also goes on individual exceptionalism. Some families produce many exceptiona individuals too... 😂, I know, they not really what I'm thinking. Thing being our school is literally based on brutal points and scholars.

Away from the US, say socialist western Europe,  very different system,  very similar outcome too.🤔

I dunno... just ranting,  not really a military issue.

Because those body builders 'soldiers ' already on board.  If the tanks are in truck to go near parade ground,  I thought they will only board there.

So our Lepoard 2SG moving round the island will also potentially having problems

There's brain drain from Europe to USA. Lot of their scientists, engineers, tech people all moved to USA. Common language of English and many mostly similar western culture makes it much easier.
Now reversing cos of universities being targeted under Trump. But the trend was the opposite since WW2.

U all keep thinking that USA didn't benefit massively from Immigration. It's actually a super big winner. All the best and brightest all got sucked up.

Heck, the entire NASA program was built off German rocket scientists. The Nazi Scientists mostly went to USA.

Eh no, GEP being abolished is the clearest example. The one that wind30 was upset with.
Where's our NDR held? ITE at AMK. It used to be held at NUS auditorium for a number of years. But it's been held at ITE mostly for the last decade.

Asian societies (North Asians and the other more advanced Asian societies) create a much higher basic standard and expect everyone to live up to it. Why are so many sec school students students here unhappy that they struggle in school with a syllabus that's always pushing them to do more. It's cos of the common expectation that we drag the lowest quartile along. Cos we are a human resource country.

It's very obvious that SG teaches to the lowest common denominator. When u enter primary 1, the students who are not able to keep up are instantly segregated into special classes to assist.

There are a significant proportion USA students who graduate high school almost illiterate. IE cannot read a high school level text. Or test scores that would be associated with intellectual disability here in Asia.

Of course USA provides a nice living environment for many. Who doesn't like California. I've heard many a times, that California (other than earthquakes) is an absolute heavenly place to live.

The tanks do have the rubber track pad option fitted if you look closely at the video

The tanks are based in Gemas so it is a fair distance away but to me it isn't too convincing if they are not moving under their own power

Its a parade so they got to look shiny.

An actual way to do it... done in SAF during my time.

All the vehicles are matt finish. Really look old worn out no matter how you clean.

After thorough washing.  Use old engine oil... lots of those around.

Apply a thin coat with rag and get a nice dull shine. No need to wash off later, will go away on it own. 😆
