But the mileage 1,234km?

haha no. regular use as 2nd car for the family.

Their family runs business where they operate multiple light vehicles. not a single one has been serviced since purchase...

One of my cars was a OPC and mileage was about 6k a year.

I change oil only once a year but I use fully syn oil and when I scrapped the car with about 68k mileage I checked the engine and it was in perfect condition.

So no worries about the oil but there is one condition.

Low mileage must drive very far once in a while to burn off the water in the oil.

I used to drive that car to JB just to pump petrol and it always went in with more than 75% and come out 100% fuel.

If water in the oil is not burn off becomes acid and that eats into the oil and the metal of the engine.

A can can be high mileage and have the problem if the owner does short trips all the time.

A tell tale sign of this is if the car needs to change exhaust because its rusty.

When you first start up a car in the morning and look at the exhaust you will see water droplets

If you switch off the engine immediately the water drops will just stay in the exhaust and cause the exhaust to rust.

So low mileage car drive for at least 20 mins to evaporate the water from the oil and the car will be OK.

:D

My Bro in Law also provides a service where he will run your car for you on Friday nights between 9pm until 3am and also on weekends.

He can also pump fuel in JB if you pay and he does this on long weekends for you.

My friend once told me a story. His ex gf family car scrapped with the original engine oil since purchase...

Toyota vios.

I'm not sure if that included the 1k oil change that I knew Toyota still used to have at that period.

Since you have brought tis up. My late brother bought a Lancer and kept it Original.😁 Until later he grumbled that the car could only go up to max 110 km/h.:XD:

Can I service at 10,000km interval but at more than 6 months interval? Coz I sign the servicing bundle with Transeurokars mazda...coming is 120k servicing.

Will the car perform ok? 7 years old Mazda 3 with 3 years more to go....can save better, coz retired no income...thanks! Input and feedback, thanks!

my car is 3year plus now but I stopped going back to agent after the free servicings were used up.  Have been servicing once every 10 months since I clock only 1000km a month nowadays.  No issue, engine is still very smooth.

btw, my car still has almost 2 years warranty left.  Once, I sent it back to agent to rectify a noise in the door and they didn't even check my service records.

Don't service for the next 3 years?

Just go for those $68 service package 2 more times lah.

Don't service for 3 years just to save $100+?

Smart service centre

Noise in the door will never have anything to do with servicing.

They will look like idiots if they were to check service details when customer complain about noise in the door.

@Jamesc

this is a very good point

car A - drive everyday, 5km reach destination, park for hours, drive 5km back

car B - drive once a week, each time 70km non stop

both car clock the same low-ish 3,650km in a year

car A engine and gearbox will die much faster
