A Taiwanese company that is known for giving employees big bonuses has done it yet again.

Shipping giant Evergreen announced on Dec 31 that its employees would get an end-year bonus averaging 20 months of their salary, according to Taiwanese media outlets.

One time they give 20 months bonus? Their headcount must be very low, or their employee salary is not high. If not the company can survive by giving such high number of months bonus?!

If salary mostly is around $2,500, then maybe still can pay 20 months bonus. Imagine if salary is more than $5k or five figure salary. 😅

Ya, those company that give high bonus, always benefit those with high salary. Imagine if your salary is 5 figure, 20 months would be a huge windfall.

I guess paying good leaders who steer the company into the right direction and generate lots of revenue/profit is the right thing to do..

rather than paying good salary for someone to plant tree and take picture on their sunday walk about! whahahahhaa

Shipping biz is capital intensive.

Need buy bigger and bigger boat to be more efficient.

First it was Covid that helps these container company , then when things started to slow down for them , the Red Sea issue gave them another helping hand . 
without these 2 , dun know how many container lines would have gone bust in 2020 lo ….

any company that owns container vessels during 2020-2024 , all making until their grandfather also dun recognise them lo … 

simi smart management is all BS lo … it’s really luck lo … 

bad luck owners like our SG PIL , tong so long until cannot , sold 90% of their company to Helenconia who is part of Temasek in 2019 , within 6 months , market turns due to Covid , make money until ….
