Jota scores after some good work by Salah and Nunez. Goal dedicated to Diaz!

Goals from Jota, Nunez and Salah sealed a relatively comfortable win with the bonus of a clean sheet.

A good 3-0 thrashing... Ali was playing more like a sweeper with nothing much to do... Klopp decided on a Christmas Tree formation. Nunez led the attack with Jota and Salah playing deeper and often dropping into the no. 8 space..  the two no. 8s turned on the box to box mode and kept getting in front of the wide forwards. Nunez was the hero with involvement of the first two goals while Szoboslai probably the best player on the pitch with 2 assists. After the break, the not so effective Gravenberch was replaced by Elliot to provide more fire power from midfield with Gakpo relieving Jota. Endo was brought on for Nunez and we seemed to transform to a 4-2-3-1 set up. This team is getting into rhythm and can only get better with Jones coming back from suspension...

a quiet day in the office. It probably cant get more routine and efficient than this.  Forest arrived in town with sole intention of damage limitation, and they left town with that.  

Pool couldnt ask for a more easier day than this.  No attacking threats from Forest so Pool basically in training mode and had target practice all afternoon. Despite in 2nd or 3rd gear only, Pool banged in 3 goals and kept a clean sheet.  Alisson had a very uneventful day perhaps he should have brought a beach chair along.  

All 3 starting forwards scored. Gakpo who came on also had a ball in the net but he was offsite. Salah looking like a complete team player.  Nunez scored and was constantly in the face of the opposition CBs. Jota scored and dedicated it to Diaz.  All round team performance, on the pitch and off it.

It was probably Szo's pass and run that made up Salah's mind to slip in the through ball. Szo and Nunez are probably my candidates for MoM... Szo recorded 2 assists while Nunez scored once and was heavily involved in the first.  Real handful for the poor Forest defenders. 

Thought Mac played one of his best games as the no.6 breaking up the game for the 1st goal. Gravenberg probably had an average game and i felt he was too conservative at times.  

VVD's form is humming along well... no big complains on the defence means he played well.

Bournemouth 1 - 2 Liverpool. Goals from Gakpo and Nunez sealed the win in difficult conditions.

A relative strong line up was fielded. We march into the Quarterfinals where we will host West Ham.
