From the infographics, looks like a move to enable most travellers to use the autogate clearance.

I found that that the arrival card only meant for pedestrians using E gate . . . driving & pedestrians using manual immigration clearances - Don't have to fill up the arrival card.

Now we know how thy explain procedure by Malaysia Automated Clearance System ( MACS 2.)

That's exactly what I said in my post earlier. It seems to enable the use of autogate which hopefully result in faster clearance for bus travelers.

But how does it  help those using cars? probably longer jams due to held up by those blur drivers/passengers who forgot to fill up....

Wait...I can always take bus in.....😄

If we look at their infographic  on the MDAC, I thought the purpose (to fill up the MDAC)  is to allow the foreigner to pass through their "autogates" on subsequent visit? That way it should be faster clearance especially for those who take buses to cross.

But for cars, I am not sure what this do .....except more jams cos held up by those who forget to fill up.

I do have a question through. In filling up the MDAC, applicant need to fill in a departure date.  So what happens if  after entering MY, the person need to departure MY earlier or later from that specified departure  date?

Ya. So those go in just to pump petrol and come out, also need to fill in ah?

Spending hours in the traffic jammed is a waste of time, for the past 15 years, I only drive in 3 timesl

Bro...it depends what time you go in. I went in upteen times since March this year and I never had to spent more than 15 minutes on each side of the customs.  Most time usually within 5-10 minutes.

The best time to go in is weekday between 2pm-3pm.   This slot works for both sides (entering JB or entering SG) . Past 3pm, and it usually gets heavier.

Weekend is strictly no-no for me.  I have plenty of time during weekday.

For morning slots, not sure. . Usually still sleeping lol

This is for 2nd link. I am not sure for Woodlands side.

I drove in this morning. The MY customs side said applies only to those using e-gate. Doesn't apply to cars and bikes.

They should make that clear in their policy.

Foreigners who enter Malaysia will have to fill up the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) online three days before they arrive.

3 days?

Only announced yesterday, how to go in today?
